Reports are that a ticket in Florida and a ticket in Tennessee also match! (from CA’s lottery official, who also said one more state has yet to report).
@SalveMater - maybe you know the winner!
My S just told me one of his classmates (at Mudd) is from Chino Hills…hmmm…
Well, HI doesn’t have legal lotteries, so likely the winner Isn’t currently a HI resident or any of the other locations who have similarly outlawed lotteries. Maybe tourists can win? I never studied the matter and have never owned a ticket except for fund raising raffles where I just wanted to donate money.
My ex lives in Chino Hills.
Also winners in Munford, TN and Melbourne Beach, FL.
I’m in Florida but it wasn’t me.

I know someone in Melbourne Beach, Fl. Not well enough to share in their winnings, though, lol.
I matched one number, and beyond feeling faintly disappointed that I won’t get to run a small country, I’m good
Can’t imagine what that person who blew $500 is feeling right now, though-that’s gotta stink.
Congrats to the winners! I’m happy that they had multiple ones since the jackpot was so big. It’s been a fun ride watching the amount get so high and buying a few tickets just for fun.
Florida here too, but no winnings. Then again I didn’t buy a ticket this round! Went to Publix yesterday to buy one but the line was too long.
If only . . .
We didn’t hit one single number. Yay us!
I don’t get it. My numbers looked REALLY good.
No winner here either. I didn’t match the Powerball number, so needed 3 of the other numbers to win. No ticket had more than 2 matching numbers. Oh well.
I didn’t hit one single number either, even with 5 tickets.
Keeping my day job
A group of 11 teachers from the elementary school where I’ve volunteered as a Reading Pal won $1M. Hooray for them! Not enough to retire, but they should net the equivalent of about 18 months salary after the taxes are withheld.
I won $4 ! Lost $6 …
The mayor from the small town with one of the winners "wants the winner to invest in Munford, which has an annual budget is about $3.7 million. He says he hopes the winner would “recognize the benefit to be benevolent to the people of the town.”
Seems pretty unfair to me to be putting public pressure on the winner like that.
Sound like the Mayor of Mumford wants some of that action. Everyone knows, the first thing you do after you win is get the hell outa Mumford.
I just heard something discouraging. The average annual expenditure on lottery tickets, for someone making under $10,000 a year is $600.
That’s a really depressing statistic.
The governor of Maine wants to get rid of the lottery here. That would make me very happy.
