"Practical Idealism": Wesleyan Commencement

<p>I continue to think that outsiders who want to get a better idea about Wesleyan ought to read and listen to what President Michael Roth is saying. At last Sunday’s Class of 2012 Commencement, he gave the following stimulating talk, calling for graduates to “be bold and reject conformity” and embracing the university’s tradition of “practical idealism”. <p>Yes, indeed. It took a bit of time to download, but as I was not able to attend my 40th Class Reunion due to some major surgery recently, I felt like I was sitting right there in front of President Roth. It was a great little speech.
