Pre-registering for football tickets - anybody have a link for that?

And those who can’t go home can be thankful for that. :)

Mom, you had me checking my spelling! I usually do leave out a bunch of issi’s.

What happens if you miss out on the ticket package?

Are kids still able to buy tickets to the games?

And if you get one package, can you buy tickets to the games in the other package?

I doubt they’ll be five bucks apiece in that case, but didn’t know if games were sold out already.

Freshmen can only purchase one package. The upperclassmen can get full packages, including one away game. If you do not get tickets to a game that you want to see, the student goes online and places his/her name on a waiting list.

Tickets for each game are donated back by students for a variety of reasons – going home that weekend, schedule conflicts, have to work, etc. When your name comes up on the list, and if a ticket is available, you get it. There is no additional charge for the ticket.

My son had tickets for every home game last year.

when do you put your name on the list for a ticket??

Is it advisable to put in your credit card info when you register for these tickets?

In my opinion package A is the package to buy. I look at it like this.

San Jose State (package B) - 1st game of the season but not a very good opponent. Also tickets for this game shouldn’t be too hard for students to acquire on the secondary market due to the fact it’s labor day weekend and some students go on family vacations. Expect to pay a few dollars but it shouldn’t be too much.

Penn St (package A) - High profile game, ticket demand will be extremely high, it will be a night game, highest priced game on stub hub right now. Student will have to pay a premium to acquire this ticket.

Florida (package A) - Another high profile game where ticket demand will be through the roof. Will also be a night game. Also tied with Penn St for the most expensive ticket on stub hub. Expect to pay a premium for this ticket.

Ole Miss (package B) - Homecoming game will make this ticket harder to come by then usual but not as hard as Penn St or Florida.

Miss St (package A) - SEC game, but will be relatively easy for students to acquire either through the donated ticket bank or buying off another student for a few dollars.

Ga State (package A) - horrible out of conference opponent and this will be a blowout. This will be the easiest ticket for anyone to acquire.

auburn (package B) - Huge rivalry game and demand will be high. However since this is the day after Thanksgiving many out of state students will be selling this ticket as they will be home and not able to attend. Expect to pay a few dollars but availability will be greater for this game than it will be for Penn St & Florida.

To me package A is the superior package. Especially if you’re an out of state student who will be going home for Thanksgiving. Throw out the “crap” games and you have

Penn St, Florida, and Miss St
-versus-
auburn and Ole Miss

Mike,

The ticket bank opens at 6am (I think) the Sunday before the next home game. It’s first come first served so the sooner you put your name on the list the better.

You can also make arrangements to have another student transfer their ticket directly to you, either for a fee or out of the kindness of their heart.

^^

I’ll definitely agree with NJBama’s assessment: the tickets in “A” will likely be more exciting games, and will be much easier/lucrative to “flip” as well. I went to all the games last year, but on a couple occasions, I was able to sell my ticket and rapidly jump on the waiting list for another. ($50 is $50…)

For those worried about ticket availability, remember this:

Every (yes, EVERY) single game is accessible from the waitlist.

Can you get on the waitlist if you weren’t able to buy a ticket package?

We’ll be at Bama Bound, and I’m worried all packages will be sold before we can get online to buy one.

We’re going to try our best, but our priority that day will be Bama Bound.

If we can’t get online until that evening, is it likely all packages will be sold?

If so, are we SOL on student tickets, or will son have to go to Stub Hub if he wants to go to a game?

Montegut,

You can get on the waitlist even if you don’t have a package. I’m GUESSING that all freshman students will get a package though. Might not be the one of their choosing but they will get one.

With 16,000 student tickets I imagine at least 2,500 will be allocated to freshmen. Since they are split into 2 packages that would give 5,000 packages to the freshman class.

That said, I’d do everything in my power to be at a computer on June 1st at 8am. I’d imagine just about everyone at that Bama Bound session will be focused on ordering tickets.

Montegut: There were parents who brought their laptops right into the Bama Bound meetings, so you won’t be offending anyone if you sit there and purchase tickets.

Hey, this is Bama. I think folks would be offended if you weren’t buying football tickets, lol.

We were in the same boat last year. Had my husband place the order from work…he just had to reschedule a meeting! No problems. Confirmation email sent to us at 8:05!!

Lots of people on their laptops getting their tickets.

Montegut, the credit union has laptops for customers to use. They OFFERED for us to use theirs while my son registered. We were using ratemyprofessor and texting with my son. They were VERY nice there! You could probably get breakfast and get your football tickets there.

^^^Is UA a can-do place, or what? Great info. Thank you.

I would still bring my laptop with me.

What if all the Credit union computers were being used at 8 am? Yikes!

There’s a computer lab in the Ferguson Center you could use; the lab’s on the first floor a bit past the Supe Store- just follow the hallway.

“and will be much easier/lucrative to “flip” as well. I went to all the games last year, but on a couple occasions, I was able to sell my ticket and rapidly jump on the waiting list for another. ($50 is $50…)”

I had a friend who made $200 from doing this for the SC game. If you do not have a ticket for the game, get up a 6am and put your name on the list that Sunday, and you are almost guaranteed a ticket for the game. I had bought 3tickets and went to 7 home games. the waitlist is great.

hey i just went on tonght to see if my acct is ok.

not sure it is!! : (

what do i do??

What do you think is wrong with it?

Did your D ever get an email in her crimson acct about the pre-registering being complete?
