I am senior applying to colleges now and my top three so far are Pomona College, USC, and Colorado College. I work very hard in school and academics are my top priority in college, but I also want to be able to live a balanced life in college. I plan on majoring in neuroscience or following the pre health track and I am a little concerned as to how heavy the workload will be because I have heard that science majors generally carry a super rigorous workload. As I absolutely love snowboarding, I really want to make sure that wherever I go for college, I will still have time to snowboard each weekend. Can any recent science major students from any of these schools please let me know what a typical day at college was like, how much homework you had on average, and how accessible nearby ski areas were?
You might do better asking in the specific college subforum for each of these colleges.
