If my daughter gets 100% bright futures and we have the prepay for tuition and fees plus one year of dorms, what can I expect to pay out of pocket for the first year and the next 3 years. Can I use leftover prepaid towards rent or meal plan?

Yes, the school will use the prepaid first, actually, and then your Bright Futures money will be applied against any remaining bills. What’s left after all the bills are paid gets deposited in your student’s account. (as long as you link the account to the university they way they tell you to)
Or you can choose not to use the pre-paid at all and save it for graduate school.
I only have dorms for one year. Can I use the extra money for greek housing or off campus apartments?
