Prime Day July 16/17 - Post Your Deals Here

@4kids4us - I had a Kindle Paperwhite before and thought that was what I was purchasing. I’ll see how the one I ordered is when it comes today. I only need something very basic to read on. I guess if I don’t like it I will return it and order a regular paperwhite again.

She replaces the filter about every 3 months. She waits a little while after the replacement light goes on, to get the most time she can from it. It has been a lifesaver for her - the only way she can get a good night’s sleep because she can breath well in her bedroom.

@kiddie - thank you for posting the air purifier. I just ordered it for D2.

Behold the Conair handheld clothes steamer! We tried it out and are satisfied (nothing works as well as a real iron, but it actually takes some skill to operate a real iron effectively without burning clothing–and it’s a huge pain to have an ironing board in a dorm.

In March 2022 my CC pals helped me pick a Kindle Paperwhite - love it! Often think back in appreciation for the input.

I order Kindle books on Amazon now and then. But usually they come from the library. After setting things up, I realized it had always been a possiblity on my iphone and ipad… but ebooks work best on Kindle. I also discovered ability to download library audio books to my iphone via Libby - very handy for exercise, trips etc.

I love my clothes steamer. I can’t remember the last time I used an iron, but I use the steamer way more.

Same!!
I have a free standing steamer.
Love it.
Best thing.
This is my third one over the last 15-20 years I think?

Especially bc even though I use low heat in dryer, my tshirts etc tend to shrink in length. And steamer is excellent to elongate them again.

I honestly can’t recall the last time I used my iron.

Should likely discard/donate it and the stand.

Ditto. My free standing steamer was a game changer!

Any curly girls out there? Any good deals on products?

I was given a great recommendation to buy dippity doo curl gel for a great price at my local TJ MAAX. Way cheaper than amazon!

I see it there all the time. Have you tried it? All I can think of is the slimey stuff we used in the 70s.

I’m a curly girl and ordered a refill of some stuff I use on and off but it wasn’t a deal!

I have like 3-4 products in rotation :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes, I tried it and I like it. It is not like that colorful stuff from the 70s what was used for setting hair. I wash my hair - comb through once - then when it is still wet but no longer dripping use a tiny bit to scrunch up the curls. It works very well!

Hmmm…does it really work??

Eye cream? Yes.

While not on sale for Prime Day, we have found a big increase in days (or sometimes weeks) that produce stays fresh with these storage containers:

Not a Prime Deal or whatever, but I had to buy a bathouse and a pole to mount it on. Because Mr. says we need more bats. :bat:

I need a new laptop, so I compared prices at a variety of vendors this week. The best deals I found were not Prime Day deals on Amazon. They were instead at other vendors that were competing with Amazon deals during Prime Day. For example Best Buy and HP both had “Black Friday in July” type deals that overlapped almost exactly with the dates of Prime Day.

Overlapping dates which of course is very purposeful.

A good online shopper knows that Prime Day doesn’t mean the lowest prices on everything. Some things may be lower priced another day of the week just by checking frequently.

This is why I like to keep an Amazon wishlist(s). I have a work related list, a “for the house” list and a “for me” list. Makes it easier to not just scroll and randomly find things and because I’ve looked at the item before, often more than once, I’ll better know if it’s a good deal.
