<p>Same here! Though being deferred from Yale wasnt a surprise and I wasn’t a huge Yale fan…just liked it more than Stanford. Pton is my first choice and it also has been.</p>

<p>And Princeton is well known for pretty much being all around great, except its math and physics departments are particularly well known. It’s not like Yale which is particularly known for humanities, and “weak” in math, science, and engineering.</p>

<p>What do you guys think of the Eating Clubs and Res Colleges?</p>
<p>I’m not bothered about eating clubs but residential colleges are good. I adore the campus. When I visited I just fell in love. So so beautiful.</p>
<p>I got rejected from Columbia ED, deferred at Chicago EA and I’m shamelessly here to put myself through another disappointment. I’m from India, lived in Singapore practically my whole life. I have academic interests in economics, political science, creative writing, sociology, math and history. I’m probably going to end up majoring in economics with a minor in polsci if miraculously Princeton somehow happens for me.</p>

<p>I also adore the campus and the town. I love how the campus is completely isolotated and gated, but across the street there is a bustling town. Princeton is such a great town with lots of events and great stores and restaurants. I don’t like city schools and I don’t like schools in the middle of nowhere so the the location and campus are literally PERFECT. </p>
<p>I also love the res college system. I WISH it were as strong as Yale’s res college system, but it is certainly not something that turns me off too much.</p>
<p>Anyone ever been in Princeton’s chapel? It’s beyond gorgeous.</p>

<p>Absolutely; so extraordinary. As with when I first stepped on campus, it was dumbfounding how exquisite the campus and surroundings were. It felt like a little piece of heaven hidden in a forest, lol. (literally)</p>
<p>I guess this is something I really do prefer over Yale–how cohesive Princeton is with surrounding gates. For Yale, New Haven streets were basically running through campus and everything seemed a bit disorganized, but with Princeton, it was perfect. For me, at least. </p>
<p>And I’m glad P-ton is taking steps to make their res colleges 4 year, or at least some of them. If only they would get to changing their academic calender to have finals before break and a week of reading period like Yale and how Harvard changed it this year.</p>
