Princeton Class or 2021 EA / RD Application thread

@gmanhax :frowning: sorry dude, it was really late when i was reading the posts, i’m not trying to spread false information or accuse you of doing that either. my bad

@MissAnthropy No worries! Just didn’t want to get blamed for spreading false information, we’re all anxious enough as is… :stuck_out_tongue:

my friend just got deferred from cornell and now i can’t stop worrying. i thought he was for sure getting in…

@GettingRekt Aw send my condolences to your friend, but it doesn’t mean you have any less of a chance!! keep your chin up guys :slight_smile:
@gmanhax true!

For those of you who have submitted (musical) arts supplements and are tracking views with the analytics features of YouTube, how many hits has your video received in New Jersey? When/how long were each of these views?

I’m curious about what we might be able to infer from this information.

@18collegebound Mine got viewed twice, two days apart; first view was 2 minutes long, second one was 4 minutes. Entire supplement was 8 minutes.

@gmanhax Mine (about 5 minutes long) was viewed once about a week after it was submitted (1 1/2 minutes), once a week and a half after that (30 seconds), another time the day after (less than 10 seconds), and once a few days ago (about 5 seconds).

I’m assuming the last two views were probably accidental clicks.

Maybe the admissions officers take a quick glance at these as they review files?

@18collegebound who knows? I’ve heard that more than one viewing is a good sign. However, it does us no good to speculate. Less than a week from right now we will know our fate!

does anyone know if Princeton superscores ACT?

@sb9916 No. According to the Princeton Admissions website: “we do not “superscore” the ACT across multiple sittings of the test.”

https://admission.princeton.edu/applyingforadmission/admission-faqs/standardized-tests

@sb9916 according to this (third question/blurb): https://admission.princeton.edu/applyingforadmission/admission-faqs/standardized-tests they will look at the highest composite score for the act

Princeton superscores SAT. Can’t say about ACT.

But logically the same principle should apply

How done is everyone with other college supplements?

@Yo I’ve submitted 5 other apps, finished 2 more supplements, and have 2 more to write. Gonna hold off on those last 2 until I hear back from Pton…

Does submitting way before the deadline has any benefit?

I’m applying to 19 others. Uchicago supplements are soooooooooooo tough.

@student709

It would be rational for them to look at all scores, even your self-reported APs scores. BTW - a 740 Chem is very good and won’t be the thing that keeps you out of Princeton. Just a few more days, hang in there…

Applying to 13 colleges total including HYPS. 4 more to go!
