@Yo they are! But they released the examples after I turned mine in!!!
And
With your inside connection, you are better informed than most. However, it could well be Friday, the 16th too. Just because there is a party on the night of the 15th, doesn’t mean they sent out the ~4.5k emails that same day. It could well be that they are done, celebrating that accomplishment, and have the computer ready to send the mass mailings the next day.
There could be several reasons why the party is that Thursday, e.g. often times parties are scheduled way ahead of time, maybe on a day the senior leadership are most free, also many people are leaving that Friday as start of their winter holiday, etc. Princeton would rather get the decisions right vs. release on a schedule that mimics the other ivies. They don’t have to (and may not want to) be at work when the decisions are released. It could be very appealing to hit send, turn off the computer and head off to holiday without dealing with angry alumni, upset parents and disappointed students.
You are likely correct it will be Thursday the 15th (could be Wednesday too!), I just don’t want you to get spun up and crash if Thursday 3pm EST isn’t the time. The die is cast, you are either in, deferred, or rejected. No matter which it is, you will end up somewhere great. Best to enjoy your life, do something fun, and find sometime to work on those other, pesky apps.
@psywar thanks for that- haha I feel like you are the kind mother of everyone here on college con.
Called the Office today. The person said that the email with the decision date would be sent out ‘really soon’. When I asked the person whether the decisions would be released by the end of next week, the person was really hesitant and maintained that the date hadn’t been officially released. But from the feels of it, it seemed like the person at the other end knew, but couldn’t tell.
The Harvard Crimson recently reported that Harvard will be releasing their EA decisions on December 13th. In light of the fact that all of the Ivies release on the same date, it appears that December 13th, or soon thereafter, will be the date.
@psywar Thank you! And yes just a few more days!
Well, it looks like we were all wrong. It appears Princeton will release decisions on Sunday, December 18.

@psywar for president :))
I’m not sure on the validity of that website since it says UPenn is the 19th when in reality it’s today (the top tier website that is)
They made a typo with the 19th; they meant the ninth, I believe someone corrected them in the comments.
@misad1892 ohh okay that makes sense
is true only for RD. For EA - each school releases whenever they feel like it. For example - Cornell already released theirs yesterday, UPenn is supposed to come out today, etc.
Thanks for the correction MedSciBud…please forgive my error all.
I’m not sure I can wait till the 18th ahhh
I wonder how they received information that the decision date is December 18th…That’s also interesting because it’s a Sunday.
yep I feel like it’s going to be the Thursday before 18th
especially since they’re going on break that Friday I believe.
I stand by my prediction that it will be Wednesday or Thursday. That website seems quite unreliable.
This is all double/triple hearsay but there is a report of a recruited athlete being notified of her acceptance. Assumed that this is likely through the coach and not from Princeton Admissions directly. One could speculate that all decisions are made and they let the coaches know or maybe they let coaches know piecemeal if they inquire.
Going tag @Ohiodad51 because if I remember correctly his S was a recruited athlete @ Princeton and maybe he could verify if his S was told before EA date beyond the standard likely letter.
I don’t think that source is reliable considering that they posted the 18th per some random person’s comment on the post.
Dolemite…recruited athletes receive likely letters from the Ivies prior to official notification. These likely letters are used as part of the recruitment process to secure that athlete while waiting for the admission letter to be released.
