Princeton Class or 2021 EA / RD Application thread

Yes I know that Ivies use Likely Letters for athletes but this was presented as if the athlete in the last day received confirmation that was not a likely letter. Again hearsay.

hello upenn hopefuls, i am a parent - on here helping a friend keep tabs as her daughter was applying. i just truly hope that for those of you rejected, you must understand that if you are at all competitive you have ALREADY WON. i was rejected from my first choice school (columbia) and then attended cornell. which i hated, because it was in the middle of nowhere. within a year i loved the town the school and my friends from cornell are like family. what i did at cornell had almost nothing to do with what i did as a professional and i was very successful (now kicking back as you can tell!) the drive you have now to get in is what will make you successful - the school isn’t. i hope you get in but i hope a few of you read this and know that you are already winners.

@ruthstoops ummmm I believe you may be on the wrong thread. This is for Princeton SCEA but thanks though

@misad1892 That site about Princetion releases on the 19th is probably wrong. I checked who else would release on the weekend and it showed Case Western on the 17th, but CW releases on the 15th which is not simply a typo!

Come to think of it, the site’s accuracy does seem questionable. Guess we’ll have to wait until Princeton sends an email notifying us of the date

There I am, seated amongst friends in my college, shivering and speaking with abrupt pauses. In my mind only one thing:Princeton early decision next week. Will I live to see that day?.. Will I get accepted? How will I react if I’m not taken by a college I have developed much love for?(a second time )…No one understands this like collegeconfidential. Very happy to be a part of this big pool…No1 knows the other, but will share his/her decision on that day.
We are really brought together by what we love.
(Goodluck to all esp African ( esp Cameroonian) applicants)

the nerves are starting to hit today after seeing my friends getting their results back from stanford and upenn. i’m so nervous but also optimistic yet prepping for the worst. It seems that now, that’s all we can do. Good luck y’all! PS Princeton pls hurry up with that date thanks

also it seems like there aren’t that many of us? most other threads are like 100+ pages …

@GettingRekt Omg i know this thread is way shorter! I wonder why… I don’t get why they can’t tell us the date, considering they’ve probably made all their decisions

Last year, Princeton sent out the date a whopping 2 days before the decisions were released… wouldn’t be surprised if that is the case this year again. We’re looking at an email on Monday or Tuesday with results coming Wednesday or Thursday.

10+ kids from my school got into Penn, but one really talented kid got rejected from Wharton, which freaks me out. Only 1 kid applied to Stanford and I don’t know whether he made it… This is all making me really nervous, as the majority of my friend group is now into college :frowning:

@MissAnthropy I know right?! Is it so hard to just give us a date?

My cousin got into penn and i’m sitting wondering when princeton will give us a date. Fair enough.

@gmanhax Don’t worry dude, the fact that you have the drive to be applying and shooting for princeton means you’ll probably have a wonderful future ~ whether or not you find that success theough princeton or somewhere else won’t matter at all in the long run
@supercilious ikr >_> so annoying lol

@MissAnthropy Thank you, and same goes for you, and all of us!

Enjoy the weekend guys, we’ll get our decision sometime next week, does the exact date matter that much?

Hey guys, my counselor from the CBO that I am in (LEDA Scholars) sent the group some tips on dealing with EA stress.

How to interact with other EA/ED applicants at this stressful time:

Do: Send them a post or email or text reminding them how much you love them.
Do: Send them a post or email or text reminding your fellow Scholars of how smart and talented they are.
Do: Send them a post or email telling your Scholars about a moment when they supported or impressed you.
Do: Send your fellow Scholars a cute or funny video to distract them from the excitement.
Do: Recommend a book, article, show, or movie that they might enjoy.
Do: Congratulate Scholars who share good news, and remind Scholars who are still waiting for good news that they are amazing and everything will work out!

Don’t: Say “I know you’ll get in.” It tends to make people feel more pressure, not less.
Don’t: Ask people about their decisions; let them tell you, when they are ready.
Don’t: Post on social media about another Scholar’s decision, even to express congratulations. You can express that privately.

Just some tips that I thought would help us when interacting with those who we know are applying early and are under stress on and off the web.

Good luck to everyone who has finals this next week or so, too!

I stumbled across this thread an hour ago, and made an account just to tell you guys I’m glad everyone else is as anxious as I am. Waiting is torture!

When do results come out and what time? Sorry if this already been mentioned!!

@katz2410 No one knows yet :frowning: Princeton will send out a mass email notifying us when we should check our portals.

Tuesday December 13th or Wednesday December 14th.

@GoTiger2000 why are you so sure about those two dates?
