Princeton Class or 2021 EA / RD Application thread

@GoTiger2000 What makes you say that? I think Thursday the 15th is much more viable than Tuesday the 13th

They won’t send an email on the weekend, obviously. So if it’s Tuesday, that means that we will get our release date ONE day in advance, which I find pretty unlikely tbh

I would honestly like as little notice as possible bc I’m going to be a nervous wreck. That being said, 1 day notice is unlikely. I think we’ll get an email Monday saying that they’re coming out Wednesday. No evidence, just my feeling.

@zaxm12 that’s the timeline I would prefer too :3

I’m in the middle of Finals week, and I wonder how I’ll study once the notification comes out…

I wonder why this thread is so much shorter than all the other ivy leagues even before decisions came out for cornell and penn theirs were still almost a hundred pages.

@GabyTinch I’d like to think this indicates significantly fewer students applied to Princeton, but I highly doubt that is the case.

@GabyTinch At this time, last year’s EA thread was at 57 pages. It gained 50 more pages in the next week though…

Still weird how we’re twenty pages behind last year…

Lol let’s just be hopeful and see it as a sign that we have a better chance then 2020 did, last year was so cut throat, even for Princeton

Probably because people increasingly don’t visit forums. I guarantee the number of people posting here site-wide is plummeting.

Also, where else is everyone applying, if not accepted to Princeton???

I’m thinking Georgetown, Brown, Dartmouth, Vassar, Hamilton, Colby, Bowdoin, and some more.

But Princeton’s thread is just significantly lower than the other ivies-- perhaps our conversations don’t take a longer route?

I just think Princeton’s popularity may be stifled a tad. My CBO (LEDA) has faced a stark drop in Princeton apps this year and a heavy increase in Stanford apps and our summer institute is literally held for 2 months at Princeton. If that is any indication. Also the protests and the case of Urban Congo and other issues at Princeton may be scaring away some applicants.

@college61728 I’m thinking Penn, Harvard, Gtown, Vandy, UVa, Northwestern, Fordham for RD

@college61728 Stanford, penn, cmu, usc, Cornell, BU, rutgers, umass Amherst, and maybe a couple more lol

do your teachers allow you to read rec letters? if so, how do you judge if a letter is “good?”

@college61728 that should probably be asked on another thread — seems kinda irrelevant to the Princeton SCEA class of 2021 thread, sorry if I was too candid.

@college61728 I’m applying to Princeton (EA) , Stanford, Wash U St Louis, Swarthmore, Pomona, Tufts, Tulane, Occidental, and Millsaps.

@college61728 nah they don’t allow us to

@college61728 only a handful of teachers allow you to read their letters after all that’s the whole point of signing FERPA. The ppl who rate their letters as “good” on decision threads likely do so because they have a solid relationship with their recs.
