I don’t know who was counseling you when you were making your college list, but UCLA, UMich, and GTech are not safeties at all. I’m glad it worked out, but you, especially as an international student, were living life on the line haha.
@Byetzz sometimes as an international student you don’t need safeties because your safety might be just staying in your own country.
you’d be surprised, I’m international too and people in my school have places like Duke and Georgetown as their safeties
@monk123 :((
@USUG21 haha we seem to be in a similar boat
My safeties were Rutgers (got honors college), Brandeis, and I thought UNC, being a state school, but then after I applied, I found out it was soooo not a safety from OOS. Lol…I did get in, though…
Reaches - Swarthmore (accepted), WUSTL (accepted), UChicago (waitlisted), Duke, Columbia, Princeton, Yale, UPENN (waiting)
Safeties: UVA (in), GWU (waiting), NEU (waitlisted), American (waiting)
Matches: Vassar (waiting) and WUSTL (in)
Reach: Princeton
Hello everyone!! When will they announce the decisions?
My safeties are Fordham )accepted( and Marist )waiting(. If anything goes too badly I still have time to apply to SUNYs and CUNYs.
I got wait listed at Uchicago so I’m hoping for Columbia since I got an interview or Harvard since I have a letter of rec from an alum but Princeton’s my favorite.
@Berrycupcake can u pl elaborate if getting columbia interview makes any ones chance of acceptance more
There was a thread a while back that said people with interesting/unusual applications who they were highly interested in got interviews. And my interviewer told me only applicants with high chances of acceptance get interviews.
@Berrycupcake can u pl copy paste the thread here… r u international

Ni I’m a domestic applicant but if you’re international I’m sure you’re fine without an interview.
@Berrycupcake The thread you are referring to is very old. I know that interviews are conducted by ARC and not admissions office. Sorry, for Columbia can’t really say
I wouldn’t have taken it too seriously either but like I said my interviewer confirmed it. But Columbia does claim interviews are random.
does anyone know what time the ivy league decisions will be released?
@doglover1234 IIRC, 5PM EST
5pm @doglover1234
