Princeton Reunion

Daughter is going this weekend for her first Harvard Reunion. She mentioned that she heard that Princeton Reunion takes place every year. Is it true? Boy that is a lot of opportunity for networking. In my eyes Princeton this activity is out of the world as it allows to mske lot of contacts. Bravo@

Yes, every year, and reunions are HUGE!

We were there last year and it was fabulous. I heard that around 25,000 alumni return for reunions every year.

Oh wow. Thanks for the info!

Princeton Reunions are a big, fun deal. 3 days and nights of luncheons, dinners, bands, panel discussions, service projects, affinity group gatherings, general merriment and the highlight, the P-rade through campus in which every class marches in class costumes.

Each class’ major Reunions is hosted every 5 years, but many people go to their off-year Reunions if they live in the area. The non-major Reunions are known as “satellite classes” and they are included in the festivities of the majors. Each major Reunion class has a fenced-off area with tents.

The Alumni Council posts a list of all the different bands performing at the various tents in the evenings; the list just came out and this year Duran Duran will be at the 30th.

Also, Princeton’s Reunions are the same weekend every year as Harvard’s, which makes logistics difficult for those in mixed marriages or with degrees from both universities.

I never looked at it that way, but that’s definitely true it’s good for networking. I partied with a lot of alums who told me they worked in finance, consulting for a couple years, etc.
