@skieurope I hope you realize that by deleting almost all of the lucky chickens in my previous post you have quite possibly sentenced many on this thread to deferral or even rejection. How can you live with yourself?
@scienceNerd15 PLS that made me laugh too hard ~:>
Reasons why I’m excited for Princeton

@scienceNerd15’s comment
~:>
@scienceNerd15 That comment was amazing.
Apparently my account is under “Warning Level 2,” so I think that it may be restricted in some way. I don’t know though. Hopefully it isn’t anything big, but if it really does something it might keep me off of CC until the 20th (which may or may not be a good thing). I guess that I’ll have to stay off of CC next week for exams anyways, especially since it’s interfering with my productivity. @lonelyowl Why did you have to post that inappropriate comment, and why did I have to reply to it… (I’m just joking). ~:>
*EDIT: I didn’t know that talking about the deletion of lonelyowl’s comment was against the terms of service. Sorry about that!
Just as an announcement for everyone out here, don’t try to address moderators or talk about their deletions, or you might get a warning and maybe even jailbars. I got warned because I posted that lonelyowl’s comment got deleted, not because I replied to the deleted comment (which I first assumed). Hopefully this helps.
@azwu331 ahh I’m so so sorry!! I’m just prone to oversharing X_X
I simultaneously hope and fear that Princeton ad coms are reading this thread…
Yeah, I don’t think I want to go to the school quite as much after reading some more about the grade deflation, which is still, despite the policy overturn, very noticeably present. If I get in, I’ll be glad, but will definitely consider elsewhere. If I don’t get in, which is much more likely, then I’ll still be pretty content. I feel like I might be a better fit at some other schools that didn’t offer non-biding early admission anyways.
I think this’ll be the last time I’ll check this thread until Wenesday, so good luck to everyone! ~:>
did all the people who were accepted, contacted by the UA before the result was released?
pretty sure I’ve checked CC (this thread in particular) more times than I have checked CC throughout my high school career.
On another note, I actually have heard some things about Princeton’s grade deflation. What are your opinions on that? ~:>
How does grade deflation at Princeton work? I’d always wondered about it. @Almondjoy7 ~:>
@APrincetonian Honestly, I don’t really know (which I probably should, oops!). Hopefully some other smart and researched CC’er can tell us? ~:>
@Almondjoy7 @APrincetonian Apparently grade deflation at Princeton is over. It used to be in effect a few years ago, but I believe it was this year or the year before that they decided to end the cap on A’s.
well im screwed, I could see why they would defer me, i made some stupid grammatical error that could have easily been fixed if i was more scrupulous. It’s always these little things you know…
@lolacell seems like its very likely. As of now, from my school atleast, the trend of people being contacted by the UA before decisions is that they were accepted, some waitlisted (after deferral).
guys we have 4 more pages until 100 pages!! (Although, that is nothing compared to the 400+ pages on the Penn ED Discussion Thread)
Also I’m loving the lucky chicken
~:>
How do you make a chicken icon?
im so nervous for wednesday. do you guys know how they notify you if you get in? is there like a tiger picture or a large “congratulations”, or is it like sat style where it just has one word. Im expecting a ‘deferred’ on the portal
I believe a tiger sign will pop up if you get accepted, atleast that’s what happened the years before.
@fretfulmother there’s a little happy face in the upper right hand corner of the text entry box with an inverted triangle. Click there
How do I chicken… haha someone help please
