My gut says that those applicants whose GCs are getting calls from Princeton are likely the ones that are on the bubble. I’d think if you’re definitely in or out, they don’t feel it’s necessary to get more info because they have enough info already. It’s only the ones from piles they’re trying to whittle down that they want more info to distinguish nuances between to help them make their decisions. Thus, previous threads have those students generally falling into accept/defer/waitlist. I don’t recall seeing any that ended up getting rejected outright after a call to GCs.

OMG guys… So I saw a thread on the Princeton page about foreign language and I’ve only taken two years/two classes ( I’m taking one class currently)… Will that hurt me a lot?? :((
@meaa7130 My son’s only in his 3rd year of Attic Greek. He got a C in Latin Freshman year & asked for a different language. Now he’s doing fine. Four years is suggested, but I can’t see that being a reason to reject an otherwise excellent applicant. I wouldn’t worry about it.
