@rotational.inertia I can give you an update. I emailed our S25s counselor at his school and asked if she received a request for Q1 report from Princeton. She said she did not receive one for S25, but she said she’s familiar with that as she received a Q1 report request last year for another student. That student was accepted
When do I give up on receiving one? I’d assume that decisions are probably getting wrapped up by Friday.
@rotational.inertia I have no idea. The colleges have their own ideas on what their class of 2029 should/will look like. Be hopeful but don’t put all your hopes on one college. All the Best and I hope you get in.
Apparently, this is on Princeton’s website:
“If I am applying early, do I need to submit first quarter and trimester grades from my senior year in high school?
Yes, if possible, please ask your college counselor to submit any senior grades if your high school has them available.”
Idk what to do now. I told my counselor and told him to do what he thinks is best lol
rea q1 grade reqs were sent! who here’s gotten them? (waiting on my counselor to respond to my email!!)
How do you know?
Also, like others have said, do not be too concerned with grade requests. It is possible to be accepted without them and maybe even rejected with them, although I do concede that the majority of recipients are accepted or deferred.
Looking at the 2021 REA thread, it looks like half of the admits got the Q1 report request and the other half didn’t. @rotational.inertia don’t read too much into it. Celebrate your acceptances and ignore the rejections.
Thanks for sharing this! I stopped by my counselor and she uploaded the optional report on common app with my Q1 grades.
Does anyone have any clue about what the release date will be?
People on Reddit are speculating the 12th at 7pm based on past notification dates. All applicants should receive an email a few days prior.
Hi all! Does anyone’s financial aid portal show that their FAFSA has been received? We submitted FAFSA Nov 26, but it is still not showing as received by Princeton. Wondering if we are missing a step?
I spoke with the FA office. They said they won’t update FAFSA until Jan or Feb.
Does anyone know if international REA applicants receive first quarter grade requests?
Literally, as you said this, I got accepted to Texas A&M, haha!
I’m just super stressed about this, I worked really hard and hope it pays off. I gave Princeton my strongest and absolute best foot forward and if I don’t get in with that I’m not sure of I can execute the other T20s as well.
This stat may be of interest to you, pulled from the Princeton Frosh Survey. 55% of Princeton admits did not get admitted to any of the T10. Each school has different institutional priorities that govern its admissions process. While I wish you the best of luck with Princeton, do not lose hope if you receive an outcome you are not happy with.
Are they that vastly different that they only get accepted to one out of ten? That’s a really interesting stat. Thanks for sharing!
did you as a student get emailed or was it sent to a counselor solely?
did you get an email about it or was it just your counselor?
Did any students receive a direct email about Q1 grades? Does it show as a document in your portal? Did your counselor get it?
