Princeton Video Captures Start Of New Freshman Tradition

Video Introduction excerpt:

"President Shirley M. Tilghman welcomes new freshman to campus during the Pre-rade, a new Princeton tradition in which incoming freshmen march through FitzRandolph Gate, officially entering campus and marking the start of their Princeton experience.

“It’s a wonderful thing to see the bewildered expressions on the faces of the freshmen as they walk past these academics in ceremonial gowns, welcoming them to campus. But by the time that day is done, there is a bond that is forged, an intensity of community that makes this place special.”

 • Provost Christopher L. Eisgruber '83
