I haven’t seen a waitlist thread yet so thought I’d make one. Any news about waitlist yet?
I don’t they they notify ppl over the weekend right?
I would assume they only release people only on week days
Someone on Reddit claimed their friend got off the waitlist 2 weeks ago. They didn’t seem like they were engagement baiting and were earnest in DM’s. Someone else claimed their friend got off on Friday.
really? i wonder why princeton would take ppl off before may 1
they will likely start notifying people starting monday. listed on the waitlist reply form they say they check thru may and june which would mean they’d likely start monday, since commitment day was a friday and first of may. and they don’t operate on weekends.
Yeah that makes sense. I do think they’re taking at least some people this year though. I sent my letter very late (a day or two before commitment day) and received an email saying it had been added to my file, indicating this is something they’re doing…
Just to be clear, since I sound insane and obsessed from my tone, I’m not usually like this. I just didn’t expect to get even a waitlist from pton
i hope so! i sent my letter a few weeks earlier and got the same reply u did, i also did not expect to get waitlisted lol
I don’t think they’ll start notifying on Monday. Commitment day was Friday so they’ll need a few working days to figure out what holes they need to fill in their class. I mention this because I don’t want anyone here fretting that they haven’t heard anything and start calling the admissions office. Also, waitlists at schools like Princeton often have a drawn out process that can go in to late July/early August. Patience is the name of the game. Make your plans at the schools you’ve committed to, and then you can pivot if a waitlist opportunity comes.
