so i go to an all girls catholic high school and everyone from the public school thinks that all of us are slutty, drink, do drugs, and buy or sleep our way into the ivy league. Honestly none of this is 100 percent true, so why do people have these stereotypes?
Why do you have this thread?
I’ve never really heard those stereotypes about private school kids, but my own stereotypes have been that they come from a privileged background, probably have never faced or have the capacity to imagine facing adversity and have their parents pay for everything, are stuck up and rich. Obviously these are just stereotypes and should not define the way you think of yourself. One of my good friends attended private schools until last year, her sophomore year.
Just curious. What are your public school stereotypes then?
Haha I went to a private school for 2 years of elementary school and it was as non-stereotypical as you can imagine. We had LGBT Pride Day every year where we went to the auditorium and classes did skits about same-sex relationships between penguins or something and then confetti rained down. Learning about how gay people can have babies was part of science class. We called teachers by their first names and sat in beanbags on the floor during class. The art teacher was a Japanese lady who taught us how to make traditional african art from leather and beads. We ordered pizza from Domino’s every Friday for lunch.
Ignore stereotypes, they’re dumb lol
