Project Runway 2025

It wasn’t. The elimination was done Survivor-style, with the designers deciding who to vote out of the workroom

Well I also just finished watching. One of the most popular annual competitions, the unconventional challenge - and they can’t find more than one person to judge?! For gosh sakes ask the Abbott staff to judge - someone!

And to make the contestants vote someone out is simply cruel.

I’m sorry to say…. “Jump the shark”….

Agree wholeheartedly!

There must have been more behind this weird episode. And having “for the first time ever” the runway show in the workroom?? Everyone just hanging out casually?

Maybe Nina or Heidi were having meltdown and they needed to quickly pivot and wrap up production… :woman_shrugging:t2:

I just watched the latest episode - a new complimentary look to the unconventional materials challenge - this episode was more reminiscent of prior seasons, and not so shabbily done as the week before (only one judge, “runway” in the workroom, etc.)

I’m hanging on.

Thoughts? I’m tired of the brothers and I’m tired of talking about the brothers. I’m thinking even more that they threw this season together with a limited timeframe (Heidi maybe says “I’ll do it but I want it all done in two weeks”) because I think all challenges have been one day challenges. Someone is missing all the time! Heidi is gone, Nina is gone, Christian can’t be at Mood. Did we phone in the season?!!

But of course I’m going to finish it.

I am all caught up. I don’t like that they eliminate at the beginning of the next episode…but it is smart marketing. lol

I have always liked Heidi, Tim, and Christian. And Nina! Liking Law so far.

Did Heidi’s face look a little diff/off in the first couple of episodes? Maybe it was just the makeup…

Heidi and Christian are executive producers. Maybe Nina too?

In the confessionals some of the designers are pretty mean/catty but in the workroom they seem like they are having fun.

I thought I was going to like Joe - he seemed cutting edge, fashion forward. But then I felt like I was just going to see a huge puffy jacket or outfit every episode.

I was a little annoyed with Yuchen - he made it all about him when he wasn’t the one eliminated.

The cowboy challenge - it has got to be Yuchen that is going to get eliminated, right? His dress - complete with horns - is just so bad.

Looking forward to the next episode.

The horns were just awful. He seems like a nice guy but they need to send him off with a hug and a Dolly Parton album.

I noticed that - I wondered if she had some “work” done and it had yet to settle…

For me, the season was a snarky snooze fest.

I’m glad it’s over. There were episodes that were painful for me to watch.

I agree.

I thought I had gotten spoiled - my H had a morning show on and they were talking PR and before I covered my ears I SWEAR I heard Jesus speaking - so I assumed he won!

So when I finally watched last night I had a surprise! lol. I have to say that I didn’t find many of the contestants very likable. I thought Jesus and his pink collection was not good - All.That.Pink.

It’s so disappointing to see the show going “economy basics”. One of my favorite things was when the finalists would go home for months to build their collection and Tim would travel to visit them and meet their families, etc. These guys got 5 days to build their collection and the runway show looked like it was the usual runway for every challenge, not some cool spot in NYC! And I have to say it seemed that Heidi was just phoning it in each week.

I just watch the last 2 episodes of the season.

I didn’t really like any one finale collection - a piece from this one and a piece from that one. That said, who makes a collection in 5 days?? Give them at least a month.

But maybe scheduling or waiting too long stretches it out too far for the money people? I would love to hear an interview with Cristian or Heidi. Did they have less money/sponsors? I can’t remember if there was an X makeup studio or Y hair salon. And did they visit Mood later in the season?

Overall, I thought Ethan’s looked to most “runaway” if a little too goth and costumey. Veejay’s last dress was very pretty, but I didn’t think anything new. But her first one?? I also liked Jesus’ first and final looks but everything in between looked…cheap/amateur?

I still love the show, but too many one-day and too many team challenges - I want to see what they can really do.

Also…was the drama real? Would a person really ‘steal’ another’s model? And would that other person really call the ‘stealer’ names? And then would they really be besties later??

Seemed like a lot of not nice things were said during the season that normal human beings would not say to someone.

Let’s go back to the days of nice, mature designers who actually help and encourage each other (not that every designer misbehaved!)

With Christian sitting right there??? If that was happening in real time why did he just sit there like a schlump?

Of course I’d watch another season, but this one was bad.

Absolutely.

Yes, I do feel much of the drama was manufactured. And yes, I do think it was low-budget — and it showed. Or maybe, Heidi got all the budget; I can’t imagine her giving up her America’s Got Talent salary for a smaller paycheck
