<p>Not really liking Jerell’s work this season. It feels very forced and not ‘organic’. I thought Isaac was spot on in telling Kenley to step it up!</p>

<p>Anyone else annoyed with Kenley’s accent. It’s so whiney.</p>
<p>Cool challenge! Would have liked to see it earlier to see more concepts with it. None of them showed a gorgeous bod - I would have thought a white fitted mini dress under some wacky stuff all lit would have been so cool. Like light the bod inside the mod…oh this challenge makes me want to design something. I didn’t like Kenley’s at all, but they did; I thought Jerrell was on to something cool at first but it didn’t gel…Austin’s was cool.</p>
<p>Kenley blew it when she sassed back to the woman who was essentially going to sell her dress. I’m happy to see her go. While her looks were cute, she’s too much of a one-trick-pony. I’m afraid Michael is too. I think it’s an Austin or Mondo win (although I didn’t like his dress as much as I liked Austin’s coat - I would have worn that coat).</p>
<p>"justAMom- I certainly hope you are right. Both Mondo and Austin were my favorites in their respecitve seasons, and both have shown they can do there style while adjusting to make things fresh. I did learn to appreciate Michael this time around. I really doubted his abilities during his last season, but he has impressed me this time around. But enough with the draping!</p>
<p>MizzBee - Michael doesn’t have enough range. He’s ‘resort wear’. Austin and Mondo both can make pants, coats, dresses, gowns. And both have a unique point of view and their stuff is interesting, in my opinion.</p>
<p>I heard that for this finale they won’t go home for a couple of months like before but that they will only have something ridiculous like 4 days to make a collection??? Anyone know for sure?</p>

<p>What did you think of the finale part 1? I think Michael said it best about Mondo, (I’ll paraphrase) ‘when he gets into one of these moods is when he creates his best work ever’ - I agree. Mondo seems more like an artist when he creates. I am looking forward to seeing the collections in their entirety. I found the choices of helpmates really interesting, excellent choices.</p>

<p>I loved this episode. It seemed that we got to see the actual design and construction process in more detail. I would love to see a PR type show where nobody is eliminated but everyone just racks up points over the season; this would allow us to see more actual concepts, more fabric (luscious stuff!), more artistic process. Also the designs could get wilder. Give 'em a bit more time, too, so that we can really see the skill unlimited by extreme time constraint. JM2C. (Yeppers, just made that up.)</p>
<p>I am hoping for Mondo, though I think Austin would do better as a guest editor at Marie Claire…though that just might be the growth/maturing opportunity that could most benefit Mondo. </p>
<p>I agree that Michael is all about resort wear. Does anyone recall him ever making pants? </p>
<p>I really like the finale set up with each designer in their own work space. If H and I ever build a retirement home, I just might make all the common rooms smaller and build each of us our own spacious “work” room!</p>

<p>And Mondo’s theme was “therapy”. I think he needed some therapy at that point.</p>
<p>Mondo has had a very difficult past - I think it’s natural and human that he may benefit from therapy! I think it was a very creative and personal way to take his emotions/struggles at this point in the competition - something to become passionate about.</p>
<p>Hooray! Just caught up and while I know Austin needs the money to help his mom, I am DELIGHTED that Mondo scored the win. I’m pretty sure all three will have doors flying open for them due to this show.</p>

<p>Several weeks ago D1 said there should be a subtitle to the show: “Apologies to Mondo” or “Mondo’s Revenge”. His work shows significantly more breadth than Austin or Michael. It’s going to be interesting to see how his work develops over the years. (I wonder if he will show up to the Marie Claire offices in a tank top and short shorts?)</p>
<p>^^ Exactly. I was part of the “Mondo Outrage” when he didn’t win his season… especially considering who did “win.” I’m very glad he won this one. But I felt it was fore-ordained and that the judges, at times, overpraised his work to set up the win. Mind you, that was fine with me since I felt he deserved redress for the wrong done to him.</p>
<p>I thought all three of these guys did nice work for their final collections but, honestly, I was underwhelmed by all of them. I didn’t like this collection of Mondo’s nearly as well as his prior collection. But I love him and he’s probably the only human being I would tolerate showing up for work in a tank and mini-shorts, lol. Even in the fashion world, that’s a bit beyond quirky :). (Of course, the pompadour pulls it all together!)</p>
<p>The wedding dress Austin made was exquisite. I can see it on the cover of bridal magazines worldwide. What blows my mind is how little time these designers had to 1. sketch their ideas, and 2. execute them for a runway! Great job all around.</p>
