Glad that Maya won but they all did great. I enjoyed this so much more than the last Project Runway. Loved Christian and Kelly as judges, enjoyed that there seemed to be a real sense of kindness and camaraderie among the contestants and I think each of the four collections shown in the final of Project Runway Jr. were better than Ashley’s!
Yes! They were all ten times better than Ashley’s! I really liked Peytie’s collection better than Samantha’s, but I liked them all. Glad that Maya won.
What a talented group. I don’t know how Samantha ranked above Peytie.?!?
Wow, I have not watched yet but was unfortunately (but fortunately!) spoilered on my social media news feed because Maya is from my town! SOOO excited for her! I will watch the show tonight and I suppose be less anxious knowing the outcome but also will be excited to see the designs that walk down the runway.
14 years old. Just! 13 at the beginning of taping! And at least shown on the show to have such a pleasant personality. Really, all of them.
This show was a pleasure to watch. Will be tough going back to the whiney divas when All Stars in a couple of weeks!
So happy for Maya, but wow, all four of them had amazing collections. And did you notice the looks on the faces in the crowd of some of the “grown-up” Project Runway designers … several of them looked like “Holy cow, I’d better get in gear, these kids are gonna out-sell me!”
I thought it was very cool that Christian told them he had shown in that venue a couple of days earlier.
I wasn’t sure about Hannah Davis at first, but she was a great host, and loved the line-up of judges. Anybody want to bed that next time PR All-Stars rolls around, one of these kids is on there too?!
A story from Maya’s home town paper:

I wish the “adult” version would learn from this show. The commercial they showed for “All-Stars” showed the usual sniping and rudeness among contestants, as if that’s what the audience wants.
Maya attends a local “very cool” school for the arts. She is in ninth grade. Crazy!
She seems like a lovely and talented young lady – a worthy winner. After so enjoying the kindness and pure joy displayed throughout this show, I’m not sure I will even bother to watch All-Stars. This might be a rare case when the spin-off is better than the original.
Just watched. Man, there was all kinds of loving going on! Between the contestants, the judges, the families!
Maya did a fantastic job. And she sure handles her self well and speaks well for a barely 14 year old. All of them seem extremely nice, normal, talented kids. Really! Though cool, I still feel Samantha’s collection was still pretty one note - thank goodness she at least put that pop of red in. I think I liked Peytie’s next best after Maya. Zach’s stuff just not my taste.
I was so happy Maya won! Such amazing talent for barely being 14!
I thought “guest judge” Bella Thorne looked like she would rather have been at the dentist office. They really should have people who have something to contribute!
