Who watched last night? I’m cheering for Bert - he’s 57 & I would wear the dress he made last night (from his boxers and a bedsheet!).

Haha I’m watching Project Runway on OnDemand right now! I loved Berts dress!

I am rooting for Bert all the way. With the most diverse group ever, I think it will be an interesting season!

I’m rooting for Bert, too - how could I NOT pull for the 57-year-old swimming in a sea of 20-and 30-somethings?

DD still refuses to watch after last year’s Mondo-Gretchen brouhaha.

I did not realize a new season had started! I will have to look to see if they are replaying it before next week. it is my guilty pleasure :)

Although, Scout, just reading the word Gretchen got me kind of upset!!

scout59, I felt like your DD did but I gave in at the last minute. I still love Mondo!

Alright, I’m just going to say it…I didn’t love Bert’s dress. I was hoping that Anya would win, although I didn’t think those pants fit as well as the judges seemed to think they did. I agreed with the bottom three and who got the heave-ho.

Yes, I watched and liked Bert’s dress. I also liked the white and black one that didn’t make it to the final. I would wear Bert’s dress 25 years ago when I could have rocked it.

I’m no longer watching this show. I was so mad at the end of last season when Gretchen won over Mondo or Andy that I vowed never to watch it again. It frees up some time also.

i missed it! if anyone knows when it will be shown again…would you mind posting? thanks

I wasn’t crazy about Bert’s dress but I loved Bert! From the previews for next week’s show, it looks like he gets into it with one of the other contestants, though.

Does anyone believe that Anya really just learned to sew 3 months ago?

^no—I just think that she is a good marketer—it’s her “angle”.
And she never worked with silk…and she NEVER made a pair of pants. PULEEEEEEEZ.

You can watch the show anytime at the website, [Episode 1 (Come As You Are) - Project Runway Full Episodes & Videos | myLifetime.com](http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/project-runway/video/project-runway/season-9/episode-1/episode-1-come-as-you-are?cmpid=Social_Facebook_ProjectRunway_07292011_1)

thanks pmk… i cant do that as we have satellite…would exceed the allowance in about 10 minutes…unless i want to watch it between midnight and 6 am

I did like Bert’s dress, but hated the shirt/skirt combination that the judges really liked. The skirt, I thought, was terribly ill-fitting and unflattering.

And no, I don’t believe Anya’s just learned how to sew. In all the other seasons, the designers all had trouble with pants, and she whips them off with a perfect crotch (the hardest part to put together) in a few hours? After dying the fabric as well? Yeah, right.

Anya’s pants had a huge poof in the front. I thought the judges would be all over her for that! But she’s an interesting contestant. Still, I’ve gotta stand up for my generation and support Bert, unless he proves to be a jerk. So far, he just seems so sincere and sweet, as well as talented.

(Mondo absolutely should have won, but I don’t think there’s anything that would keep me from watching Project Runway!)

Even taking the “fabric” used for the Anya’s pants into consideration, they were still horrible. The fact that the judges liked those pants astounds me. I just hope Anya isn’t the next Michael Costello.

Even though Michael Kors was playing it up for the cameras when he said Ryan’s top made the model look like she ate a big lunch and was bloated, it was completely accurate and hillarious.

I recommend looking at Tom and Lorenzo and Blogging Project Runway for recapping episodes and interesting secrets, and for snarky commentary from the former.

I like to remember it as Mondo winning.

I’m watching it now. Anya is there for interest. I was shocked when the “Barbie” asked the contestant and his model “Are you speaking foreign?” really
I want Brt to hang around.

I’ve got to go back and see last year’s last show, because I thought Mondo was the pure talent, and likeable.

on now on lifetime channel!

I love PR, still the best among these competitive reality shows: you watch people create ART (or arftul messes, lol) under stressful circumstances and with strange restrictions.

It never fails to amaze me how “rich” the outfits look considering the few resources/$$ the contestants have.

Never having been into fashion, it opened my eyes to how experts look at clothes.
