<p>OMG, War and Peace is so confusing. I gave up after Sonya and Nikolenka made out. I figured out they weren’t going to end up together and I was like, what’s the point.</p>
<p>Anyway, from skimming OP’s post, it sounds like you don’t want to go. You know how you’re concerned about what other people will think about you if you don’t go, OP? Everyone else is exactly the same. Everyone is always thinking about him/herself. No one is thinking about you. So do what you want.</p>
<p>Prom lasts so much shorter than you really think. It’s literally 3 to 4 hours long. As much as people might be making a great deal out of it, it goes by very fast, and you are left to wonder where all your preparation time went.</p>
<p>I’d say, if you don’t want to go, don’t go. And if you do, don’t worry. It’s half the length of a school day. You’ll be out of there before you know it.</p>
