My boyfriend goes to a different school. The original plan was for both of us to go to both proms - his first, just as a couple, since his friends (who are also my friends) are all going in different groups and mine a few weeks later with a group of my friends. However, the prom group fell apart, and since the point of going to my prom was to spend it with (and take pictures with) my friends, I’m not sure I want to go anymore since I’ll already have had the prom experience and couples photos with him. Easy solution: don’t go, right? Except the complicating factor is that the school gives out senior class favorites at prom and there’s a 98% chance I’ll win one. Call me vain, but I really want to be there for that. And if my mother finds out I missed the award, she’ll kill me. Help!
Just go to prom! At least you will have your boyfriend with you, and that should be enough, plus you’ll get your suspected award.
