Proof of Enrollment?

Hey,
I am going to get in touch with my insurance company and Cornell on monday, but until then I had a question for anyone who has had to deal with a similar issue… I am going to be a new (transfer) student in the fall and my dad’s health insurance wants proof of enrollment as a full time student in order to continue insuring me. Since I am not really a “current” student, I am wondering if I am going to have a problem getting Cornell to sign off on my insurance papers? The Cornell website says “The University Registrar maintains both past and present student records, but cannot verify future enrollment. A student is not considered a Cornell student unless they are currently enrolled through Cornell University.” Anyone have experience dealing with this??

thanks

Talk to the university registrar and the college registrar.

they can’t give u proof of enrollment until u are physically attending cornell.

Do you have a NetID? If so, if you log into http://jtf.cornell.edu can you find anything that says “Registered?”

<a href=“Certification of Enrollment and Degree | Cornell University Registrar”>Certification of Enrollment and Degree | Cornell University Registrar; this site may be useful. you can request your proof of enrollment online and they will male it to you quickly; you just need a SSN and a NetID. However, my first entry is dated 8/19 (my first day of orientation). This may mean you can’t get it ahead of time, but worst case scenario is you’ll have to wait until 8/18 or 8/19, which is only 2 and a half months from now.

thank you!
