Can someone answer my question on the previous page?

Wasn’t there one that had “draconian” for an answer as well? Or am I completely mixing up this PSAT with the practice PSAT?

idk, we talked on the chatroom and we were all kinda confused about what question was which. I get that the answer is praised and integrity (and i probably got that because that was a relatively easy one) but I just don’t know why I thought one of the answer was independence…maybe I though independence when I saw maverick and that’s why I think picked that one even though peopel are telling me that that wasn’t a choice. Okkeeedokee, I’ll drop it. lol. thanks guys

y was the answer disparage a technique? he didnt have to specifically use peeling paint to disparage something…

for paragraph edit…which of the following is best inserted at the beggining of the first sentence in the 2nd paragraph…the sentence was something about why the books are hard to adapt

some choices…
movies have to be edited
just because some books are easily adaptable doesnt mean they make good movies
books take a long time to write…

@monstor344 - That was the practice test :)

wait, what question had the answer farming…birthplace?

what chatroom?

240000, it was something about farming being around somewhere other than the Middle East during the same time period, but the Middle East is still considered the birthplace agriculture. I can’t remember the question exactly, but it was something like that.

the farming… birthplace question was the one about how (farming) in the americas arose around the same time as in the Middle East, yet the latter is considered its (birthplace)

Which was the answer to the first Wikipedia question, “What can be inferred by the first sentence of the passage?”

Anyone remember the other answer choices for the paint question?

awesomemath, i believe it was the second sentence of paragraph 1. Isn’t that the one with where “Because of pressure from movie studios…” was a choice

Does anyone remember a question in the Morgan/marriage passage with something like, “What do the phrases, ‘It seemed to him’ and, ‘all he could tell was’ suggest?”

that he was clueless about an upcoming family event

^ okay good. I think I put that.
Thanks!

for an earlier question about how the glugs of sherry, i believe the correct answer should be excessively wasteful b/c that is what made her cooking horrible, it was excessive. The other choice that others seem to have put is “casual application.” How would the word “glugs” be casual, and even the statement “casual application” does not make it seem like she is a bad cook.

^ I think it was “casual attitude” not “casual application”. But you make a good point…maybe excessively wasteful is right?

^ Casual application implies that she isn’t precise with her cooking. Being wasteful doesn’t necessarily mean overwhelming the food with flavor, it just means that she isn’t conserving the materials; it doesn’t directly imply the quality of her food.

that is a good point.
BUT “doesn’t necessarily” doesn’t necessarily rule out the excessively wasteful.
AND not being precise doesn’t necessarily make her a bad cook.
guess we will have to wait and see… this waiting is gonna kill me.
