Psat 2012 saturday

Hey guys what did you think about the test?
We can discuss specific questions now since everyone is done.
What did people write about the social harmony and interconnectedness one?

the third to last grid in… I got 302… or 301… I can’t remember. Anyone else? Also: some of the vocab I was a little iffy with.

it was 302

i put social harmony since it talked about being one with the world

was was the sentence completion that was about some guy not wanting to take on points of view… i put intransient…
Also for the 2 cr short passage was author 2’s tone contrary?

by the world, I’m pretty sure it meant the physical environment, not necessarily the people, so I put interconnectedness.

I put intransient and contrary as well.

I put the exact same things

intransigent and contrary is what i put as well. and can anyone answer the social harmony one… i wrote interconnectedness

I said interconnectedness. Social harmony wasn’t really the focus of the passage.

Are you sure we’re allowed to discuss the questions already?

what about the stand a chance of getting … in grammar (with the swim coach) can you stand a chance of getting something?

for the median question with x + 7 + z = 50 where what is the greatest median (something like that), was the answer 24?

@Kirby – I think it was 23. If I remember correctly, the sum had to be less than 50. 1+24+25=50, so that couldn’t be right.

no, but they could equal each other, so 24+24+1-49 the answer is 24

ughhh I didn’t look at the less than sign. Thanks!

Oh, they were less than or equal to each other? Darn it. I guess it was 24.

For swim coach one I put E.

I may have put e as well… although that entire sentence threw me off… something seemed wronged haha

Me too, what’d you put for the person who shows two hats?

What did you guys put for the writing question something along the lines of: in 2006 twice as many people register to vote compare to 1994 (we had to find a phrase to replace compare to)?

almost completely sure it was “as had applied in …”
