it was overwhelimign clamor

Yeah, it was comparing the clamor to the familiar clamor in India (not necessarily pleasant) like car crashes and such…so it was definitely overwhelming clamor

no it was not overwhelming clamor… the lines extended longer than just the noises. all of the sense were mentioned

it was definitely sensory stimulation…
how is the smell of garlic or dripping ice cream or women carrying groceries clamor?

Yeah I think that’s right…overwhelming isn’t the right adjective either

IDK about that. Again, author was very specific with her adjectives and was not just describing hustle and bustle. Clamor is a loud and confusing noise or people shouting…I think you can make the argument it’s clamor up until she goes in depth on the garlic, and different types of ethnic food being bought…

anyone remember the TV passage questions? that was a substantial yet straightforward set of 12 (?)

for one of the answers i put that it was hard for children to be denied access to tv
and i put that unlike reading, viewing TV had no way to learn like the ABCs

well the main idea of the TV passage was that it broke censorship in a way.

i thought the tv questions were pretty straightforward

Harvard. I agree with you.
The hardest passage was probably the one with the scientists involving in politics…

yes the scientists in politics one was kinda confusing.
i thought all the sentence completion was pretty good too.
can someone please tell me how many total no errors were there for id questions?!

I put overwhelming clamor because although the author DID mention all of the restaurants/ smells, ice cream, etc., I think he was trying to establish the mood of a city and how it’s hectic and always overwhelming. Just as a whole in that paragraph he was trying to create the imagery of SF and how it’s crowded and overwhelming

What about the question with the ice is melting quickly and the scientists have to work quickly. What was the answer to that?

I think i put c for the ice question

@Harvard-I believe there was only 2 (but you could say 3 if that “will stand” does not need to be in the future)

@mvp- I really hope you are right. That was my thought process because it said the primary reason and the passage wasn’t descriptive. It was reminiscent. And also, the question was asking what the author suggests the city was like, not the situation. So I am leaning towards overwhelming clamor, but the argument for sensory stimulation is equally justified because the question referred to many more line numbers in that paragraph which all dealt with various senses

What was the ice question? Was that in the writing section?

@tallboy22 what was the will stand question?

does anyone remember any more math questions?
i feel like i made so many stupid errors :(

@ Harvard - it was the one with the swimmers that “will stand” or “stand” a chance next year
