Psat 2012 saturday

^ yep.

10char

Anyone that remember hubris as an answer to one of the questions? What was the question again?

Yeah, it was about a guy who was behaving really arrogantly by not giving credit to his colleagues for something.

What were some other choices again?
I doubt that I put hubris down >.>

So is it depicted for that writing q?
And was it stand or will stand?
Also was it sensory stim or clamor?

^No idea for depicted.
Think it’s will stand.
Think it was sensory stim.

@siemprell, don’t remember, sorry.

@signaturecc, I’m sure “depicted” is right, leaning towards what you wrote but not sure for the last two.

For the last MC in math, the one with the absolute values, what was the answer? Was it 4 (E)?

^That’s the one I omitted.
How did you approach it?

I said do nothing since it presents his findings and solutions for both genders

Sent from my HTC One X using CC

I divided both sides by -2 and distributed the remaining 2 on one side, but don’t remember what I did after that. If anyone remembers the exact question that would help.

@siemprell. I just plugged some numbers in (1, 1) and (1, 0) which gave me 4. I tried to do it algebraically but its impossible because of the absolute value signs (or at least I haven’t learned how to do it yet)

Did anybody get the one where the archaeologist unearthed a collection of something? I think the question was “Using a shovel, the archaeologist unearthed a collection of…” I didn’t know whether the “using” should be having used, or by using to make it fit the tense of unearthed. In the end I put A (that using was wrong).

@eyey i tried plugging in numbers as well. Didn’t give me the same answers. Didn’t dare to take the chance in guessing because i omitted 2 grid-ins already >.> Just not a good day for math.

^ it was no error.

I got 4 for that math question as well, all I did was sub in arbitrary values

@eyey I am pretty sure it was No Error. since it would be correct to say, the archaeologist unearthed a collection of xxx using a shovel

Did anyone think this test was harder than most practice tests? Especially some of the math and reading questions.

If you miss one W question, how far down does the score drop from 80?

How did I make a mistake on the chair question … there goes my 80

Probably a 770 or 780, depending on curve.
