Psat 2012 saturday

did you guys think it was hard or easy?
harder than last year?
whats 3 wrong in writing?

@Kirby Yes, b was the correct answer because you need “will”

@TallBoy22 wouldn’t having both “not yet” and “formerly” make it kind of redundant?

@sammy, platitude means trite, and that question was describing a cliche writing style, so “averse to cliche” means the opposite, and none of the others fit

@TallBoy22 formerly was supposed to be formally, diction error

@ hsjunior That is what I am thinking, but what could correctly take that word’s place unless you just delete it? Changing it to “formally” would create a new meaning…

No… The context of the sentence suggests it NEEDS to be “formally,” otherwise the sentence doesn’t make any sense.

Yea that was a really stupid question, but I think they were looking for “formerly” as the correct answer. Wait so what was the “incredibly” question then?

@TallBoy22 I’m pretty sure the question was talking about how the professor has been going into a lot of political things, almost as if she’s starting a campaign even though she hasnt formally announced her running for office so formerly would have been a word choice error WHICH is a valid error that they can test on.

Crap, so I guess that leaves two “No error” questions then?
24 + 30

@tallboy- I think that may have been an error in diction, as in it should’ve been formally announced instead of formerly announced.

What was the meaning of mantle?

So was the swimmer one correct or not correct?
ALSO
@wannabedoc96 mantle was appearance

@ tips To be honest, I still think its E even though some others contend it is B.

@SignatureCC ya, I stated E as well, w/e can’t do anything about it now, though I still am pretty sure it was e…

there were three no errors! the one where the guy used something to unearth a collection of something? that was no error i think

was this test harder than wednesdays?

and i put esoteric thinkier

Harvard i got NE for that question also.

i had no error for that

what was the answer to the math question with the math and chess team
and how many people were on just math team?
