Psat 2012 saturday

11 definitely.

can you explain that?

@morpheus4 I said incredibly because incredibly is the adverb that modifies the adjective incredible

What did mantle represent in the reading section?

@Tallboy22 mantle = appearance
@Harvardjunkie123 it was 11 because it was 8 for both 12 for just chess and 31 total
31- 20 = 11

and also was one of the sentence completions “measured”?
adnd also what was the literary attitude?

I try to ignore bubble trends, but did anybody get a string of D’s and C’s

yea cuz the 3 sets they gave were disjoint so 8+12+x=31->x=11 just use a venn diagram to think about it. Mantle i said was appearance.

@Harvard I put A b/c shouldn’t you put “by” before using

whats my math score if i got -2 and skipped one on grid in? really bad right?

@tips i still need to know some sort of information about the whole question please?

Last year I had one wrong in math->77 so u can judge from there

@Harvardjunkie123 I said measured and literary attitude was having a skeptical stance or osmething like that

ALSO
the answer to the x+y+z<50 thing was 23

Overall I thought the test I just took was MUCH harder than that practice test from the booklet thingy u get when u register. Overall, I thought the CR was fair, writing was easy, but math was way too hard for a PSAT.
for math:
What was the answer for the one that said what was her avg speed after 28 mi?
Without looking at the choices i got ~54 point something but that wasnt a choice so i chose 55.5. Also, in the grid in section what was the value of x in that equation with the 2 sets of parallel lines? I put x=20. And for that last median question with x,y,z i put 23 because unless i was rushing through it, i remembered it saying x<y<z, with no less than or equal to signs. Maybe i just didnt see…
For writing, what was the was the beethoven one that said he did everything while he was deaf correct as it was?

@morpheus4 I really didn’t look at the question that much, I believe it was talking about an animal that when it takes certain pores it gets to be incredible large but it had to be incedibly large due to previous statements.

ill try to list as many sentence completions as i remember

measured
immobility
intransient
hubris
given,platitude
seminal
something with mae jemison starting an organizaation (dont remember that one)

yes measured was an answer. and for literary attitude i had no idea… can anyone answer this?

no it was 24: 1,24,25

it was 24 cuz x+y+z<50, but x<=y<=<=z, so it can be 1+24+24 = 49, so the answer was 24

the miles per hour one i put down 52.5
