@cheesecake if you go to Student Score Reports you should have to sign in after you do that your old scores will come up…if you have any and underneath them there should be a butto asking if you want to find other scores and you would click on that. If there is no button then i dont know what to tell you
@j1908617 Thanks for sharing, but the percentiles won’t help. You’re in like Flint next year. My sophomore daughter beat you on the verbal with a 750, but she could use some lessons on the math; she had a 590.
MD is up guys remove it from the list.
@GrandBudapest My school tends to get quite a few NMS (for the seniors who graduated in 2015 we had 36 which was the third highest in the state, this year I believe we had around 20) so don’t be scared! My grade level has plenty of outstanding students, so for us it’s probably just a good year. Have faith!!
Us without the access code are all in the same boat. The couselors don’t have it and apparently neither does college board. They said they will be continuing sending out scores and access codes through Saturday morning. Sucks…
@burstlimit I live in MD and so do my friends and none of us have received our scores yet…
@nerdmonster101 If you’ve taken the PSAT before, just log into your college board account. If not, they are supposed to email you a code if you provided them with an email. Otherewise, see your school counselor tomorrow. Prostrate yourself in front of his or her door and do not move until they provide the score.
@nerdmonster101 ya no one at my school had them either I just happened to be talking to my counselor today and asked him about it and he didnt even know scores came out today…
@sbmTW21 i dont think i am going to be able to make it to september. It is just too close for me not be nervous and i have a gut feeling that Im going to be a point or two short
- Central New Jersey (not everyone, as we have a report someone from this area did get scores)
- MD
- Southern New Jersey
- Southeastern Pennsylvania
- Southwest Ohio
- Northern New Jersey
- Florida
- West Tennessee
- West Michigan (Not everyone)
Got a 1430 for Florida (SI 215); do I have a shot of making Semifinalist? Or am I stuck at commended; I’ve seen estimates ranging from 199-210.
lol then your friends probably didn’t put in their information right in the bubble sheet. What school district?
@miottawa MD is up.
since we are all freaking out and there is nothing any of us can really do and im kind of curious where do you all plan on going to college
Ok, please excuse that this may be long and I’ll be using bullet points; it’s been a long day, but hear me out here.
- On the Selection Index page of the score reports (online version) it says they will review about 1.5 million SIs. 1% of 1.5m is 15,000. This means that more than 1% of test takers will score within the 16,000 finalists.
- When I convert my scores using the concordance tables, I get a score nowhere near the top 1% (206 out of 240). However, I scored a 1420 (211si) which puts me within the top 1% by about 30 points composite (1390s have reported being in the 99th). Others have already detailed problems with these tables, so it's safe to say we shouldn't put much trust in the charts.
- If I convert by using my percentiles (99% in math and verbal) to the percentiles on the old tests (meaning that I took my 99th percentile in both math and verbal and converted to what a 99th percentile would have been on the old test it converts to a 222 out of 240 (and that is using the lowest possible scores to qualify as the top 1%). So, is it possible that converting your scores this method provides a more accurate idea on how this converts to the old tests?
Any feedback/criticism is welcome, I just haven’t seen this method tried yet and I thought it provides and interesting view.
Sister got a 1290 (690 V, 600 M). Does she have a shot at Commended?
You can get in without an access code. Just put in all the same information as you did on your PSAT test.
@burstlimit Prince George’s County
Do you think 225/228 will be sufficient for CA? (for semifinals) I’m really nervous
@collegefreak lol 100%
@PremiumSalt HOW DO YOU DO THAT! PLEASE EXPLAIN!!!
