**PSAT Discussion Thread 2015**

Still sitting in Cali waiting for scores. No word from CB. What an effing joke. Feel like some slackjaw is counting hanging chads in Dade county to see what my daughters score will be.

What scores (out of 1520) are in the 99th percentile nationally?

?? That means you must not have filled out the test properly…no way you can get disqualified with a 208 @Nzb2018

Why are there two percentiles?

or that means he’s a sophomore @mkumar17

In Washington State still without scores. Nobody in my whole school has gotten their score back yet. @aaronuhs I believe 1370-1520 is 99th percentile.

literally dying why would you say a certain date and then not follow through? CB you confuse me.

guys since the test is out of 1520 but is supposed to be equivalent to the sat (out of 1600), my guess is that the cutoffs won’t vary any more than they normally do year to year since they were trying to scale it to the SAT even though the point values were slightly different. they’ll probably be slightly different of course but i don’t think there will be any major differences in the cutoffs. just my thoughts, probably wrong but no one knows anything for sure

@mkumar17 I haven’t received mine yet. No one at my school has. Have you?

Looks like they messed up big time. Private school in NYC, sophomore. No results posted on college board. No emailed access code. Guidance counselor did not get scores or access codes. We have no way to access the scores. College board is checking into it. They have told the school to be patient they are checking into it. From what my child was told there are a number of schools in this same situation.

Nzb2018 is a 10th grader Hence the *

@burstlimit Traditional MD cutoff has been 220-222 (222 being the very highest) out of 240. Now we are in a world in which the top score is 228. So, if you know that [1] SF are top 1% (that is, 99th percentile) generally; [2] MD cutoff has traditionally been 221/240; and [3] 220+/228 is significantly better than that … I think you just have to feel hopeful. No guarantees, to be sure, but I would suspect that anyone with a 220+ in MD is in good shape.

@nerdmonster101 I know right! And they just get a free pass because our future is in their hands lol.

Illinois, 218 . Haven’t heard of any higher scores at my school

@masalvada123 CB is extremely annoying. Like you change the PSAT and then you say “HEY, EVERYONE LOOK! SCORES COME OUT JAN 7TH!!!” Umm. It’s Jan 7th CB, where are my scores.

I will say - even though my kid knows her PSAT score because our counselor gave us the report, we still can’t access it on the CB website – MoCo, MD. So I am totally sympathetic to those who are completely frustrated.

Yeah I got mine today. Got a 1420/210. It was online. @cltncrn

For the people who got theirs, did you use an access code or was it just there?

It was just there for me…all i had to do was login @nerdmonster101

That is so weird! I guess I will just wait it out and see what happens. Although that will drive me insane!
