**PSAT Discussion Thread 2015**

anyone have any idea whether I can make the cutoff in Florida with a 216/1430 and 99%ile overall? appreciate it.

Is anybody else encountering a situation where they try to do “add scores” but it still asks for an access code?

@mkumar17 Congrats on your score! If it isn’t out by tomorrow afternoon, I plan on callng CB. Just curious, what part of TN are you in?

@masalvada123 Yes, either that or my student ID. I don’t have the access code nor does my student ID works.

Memphis! And I’m pretty nervous about taking any congratulations right now… No one’s really from TN on here so idk what the semifinalist cutoff might be. But thank you! @cltncrn

@nerdmonster101 Yeah. The same thing happened to me. My proctor told us that we didn’t have to put our student ID in the booklet so I didn’t. Regret doing that because the wait is just annoying.

@2blessed2b I think you are in the running for NM for Florida. Florida was closer to the bottom end of the range last year, so being in the 99th percentile nationally should be pretty safe.

what about TN? I got a 210 @jerzmaster

A lot of people are saying that the cutoff for California would probably be like 210-ish
but that doesn’t seem right… A lot of my friends are way above 210, not to mention most people on this thread…
I don’t know if this means all my friends are geniuses or the cutoff isn’t that low haha

Honestly, Im guessing it wont be much of a change…maybe 2 points less for each state?? What do you think? @songmino

is a 227/228 good enough for TX? I’m scared that the cutoff is gonna be a 228 since everyone is scoring crazy high.

@mkumar17 Wasn’t CA’s cutoff 225 last year? I got a 222 this year :frowning:
But yeah, it seems as if everyone has gotten pretty high scores this year so I wouldn’t be surprised if the cutoffs are in the 220s.

EDIT: Punctuation

@maksbow 228 is the max possible score and I highly doubt that will be the cutoff. You should be fine.

I mean… you’re on college confidential. Pretty much any one who has an account here will have a good score. This site doesn’t represent a fair amount of test takers @maksbow

@mkumar17 I am just guessing, but TN was a almost the same as FL last year…just a point higher. Is a 210 in the 99th percentile? I think people have been posting scores as low as 1370 as 99th percentile, but it’s hard to know if this is closer to 98.5%.

@maksbow good enough, but i’m betting that the cutoff will be 220+ for TX, and many states actually. possibly even 225+. however, you should be fine

@maksbow 227/228 is obviously good enough for TX!

It says 99% on my report @jerzmaster

CA, DC, MA, NJ will all need to be higher than 99.0% because of the higher average scores in the states

@cheescake 225+? :frowning:
