**PSAT Discussion Thread 2015**

Still no scores, so I called the College Board customer service line, and they’re closed until Monday. Is anyone else still in this situation?

Yes! Still no access code! I don’t know what to do? (:expressionless:

@miottawa Neither do I! I emailed CB, but I’m not very hopeful. And my guidance counselor is pretty clueless (she’s a lovely person, though!) so I don’t think she’d be able to help.

No access code here either. I now doubt the validity of CB saying they would send the access code between Thursday and Saturday. D also emailed CB.

Still no access code here too in MD

@mathyone Sorry for autocorrect typos. Correct rather than current and of in lieu of do.

@gasenioryear Thanks for sharing the information.

Thanks @gasenioryear

Just to restate data from 2014 - in 2014, 213 was the lowest SI to be in the 99th percentile. In 2015, it’s at most 207. In the worst case, if 207 is the 99th percentile cutoff for 2015, one way to guess a conversion from 2015 to 2014 would be to add 6 (213 - 207). If lower SI’s in 2015 are still 99th percentile, the amount you would (guess to) add would obviously go up.

Of course, the caveat is that apparently all percentiles are just estimates, so it might be just as accurate to roll some dice…

:-/

@thshadow Or have your cat pick a number

@thshadow Sorry, not following. Ignoring the preliminary nature of all this, are you saying that you believe the cutoffs would be likely lower by 6 this year since the 99% in 2014 was 213 and it appears the lowest 99% this year is 207?

@suzyQ7 that’s what he meant but we could just all roll dice or have a pet choose a number

I was having trouble receiving scores until about 10 minutes ago. My advice for people who do not have them yet is just to give it a couple days.

Anyway, I got a 1450 and live in NC. Hopefully, that’s enough to be qualified but who knows with this new one.

Still, this is very reassuring. My kid got a 221- but has to meet the very highest cutoff, which was 225 last year. Using this estimate, the highest cutoff would likely be 219. Testmasters predicted 220- that works too. As long as its not 222, we would be good!!!

@suzyQ7 I think you are good

If I email my counselor, will she be able to send me my access code by email?

I received a 219 si and I know it will not be good enough for N.J lol

Did any of you receive the access code? Or did you just have the screen that said, “Our records indicate you have not taken any College Board assessments” and then the scores just appeared?

I got a 1500 (SI = 224). I recently moved to IL so I have no idea how competitive my score is for this state. Would I be guaranteed NMSF or am I borderline?

@jake071999 Please don’t double post in multiple threads. 224 is NMF ANYWHERE.

another data point of “User” percentiles…it must be Users

R - 34, 95%
W - 37, 99%
M - 36, 98%

But interestingly the R+W that is 34+37=71 which equates to 710 and that 710 is 99% for User also

Given what I have seen:

37 is lowest 99% User for math ( I am certian of this point)
35 or 36 I think is the lowest number for Read
not sure on Write, but probably 35

I’m really confused. Can someone explain why people are seeing different user percentiles for identical sub scores?
