PSAT results!!!!!

My school got the scores on Monday…and they’re still
withholding them from us. Grr!!
I’m also in Maryland but I have no clue what this year’s cutoff could be. It’s usually a point difference so maybe 219-221? But as long as you have a 223+, I think you’re safe.

Yay! And what part of maryland are you from?

got a 235!
KY

79 - Writing
80 - Math
68 - CR

Total: 227

223 in PA

That should probz make both National Achievement and Merit, right?

I’m in the DC metro area…haha good ol’ Northern PG County.

^DC’s cuttoff is strangely high, I thought DC schools sucked?

Super fancy private schools?

If I’m in the 97th percentile does that mean I will be commended? Wikipedia says that it is always 96th percentile and above, but I don’t wikipedia too much.

Well I have no idea of DC cutoffs since I’m in Maryland which has a pretty high cutoff.
I hope get my scores tomorrow!

^^Yes, 96.0 is always the cutoff.

224 ( 80 cr, 72 math, 72 writing) in NC, Pretty sure I qualified for semifinalist :):):)

218

73 CR

76 Math

69 Writing

State: Pennsylvania

No real surprises for me… I knew I did awful on writing. But I’m pretty happy with this - the National Merit qualifying score hasn’t been above 218 in PA since like 15 years ago - and all my nerd friends haven’t gotten higher than 224 yet… so I think I’m safe.
I’m a little sad though - I had a 225 sophomore year.

But I’m honestly a little amused - these came back after my Nov SAT results, where I got a 2290 xD

Have a 220…in Maryland
I knew a girl who became NMSF this year with a 219 (she’s in class of 2011). Do you think the cutoff will be higher than 220 or exactly 220?

214 in NJ. No NM semifinalist for me… :(

Labanlieu: I have a feeling that the cutoff will be 220 this year, I know a lot of people who didn’t do so hot. I think you should be fine :)

Aw, thanks!
Did you think this year’s test was harder?

I don’t know, this was the first test that I actually tried on so my previous scores of 203 and 204 are kinda irrelevant, haha

The first PSAT I should say

Would a 98th percentile in comparison to juniors translate to 99+ for sophomores? Just curious so I can know for bragging rights… just kidding… sort of ;). I mainly want to figure out what to expect for next year assuming my percentile stays relatively the same.
