I got a 208. I’m semi-upset since I know I could have done a lot better, and its practically impossible for me to reach the cutoff as my state was 214 last year.

At least now I have some experience taking standardized tests.

I took the Wednesday test and apparently I got ripped apart by the last passage.

I did a lot of dumb things… I’m sure I would have done a lot better, but I didn’t even know about the PSAT until a little while before I took it. In fact, I signed up for this site to find out about it.

THIS IS BLASPHEMOUS. now i’m probably like 1-2 points away from the national merit semi-finalist cutoff. why must thou curve be so harsh?!
Wow so close, i’ve been in rage mode these past weeks

And for those who say that people tend to score higher on the actual SAT, i believe its generally true. I know tons of 2350+ people get in the 210-225 range. But then again, there are those occasional people who get lucky and score way high on the PSAT due to the relatively few amount of questions, and then score much lower on the actual SAT. The general rule is that the fewer the questions, the greater chance that luck will become a factor, unless you are of course, one of those robot-machines that gets perfect no matter what curve or what questions. The conclusion: psat curve blows.

Hey I am a sophomore in West Virginia. I get my results tommorrow.
I believe I got
-1 in Math
-1 or 2 in Writing
-9 or -10 in Reading
What should I expect? Thanks in advance.

Writing killed me, but I still made the cut-off. I’m actually a little suspicious at the questions I got wrong in CR, because I distinctly remember putting the correct answers, and the answers my score guide set I put were ones I would have never put.

I’m so irritated at my counseling office. The PSAT scores are just SITTING in a box on the main desk, and they insist that we wait until Thursday to hand them out.
