PSAT scores are ready

My math dropped from sophomore year, but my writing and reading rose greatly. The result: 74/63/76.

That’s 213! What an overconfident idiot I am! How could I possibly let myself DROP in a section…?

But I live in South Carolina and have a foot in the National Achievement Scholarship Program, too. That should be sufficient, no?

EDIT:
211! That’s really close. If I don’t make it, I’m becoming a street vendor.

EDIT:
Ah. The National Achievement Scholarship program will definitely save me, though. Affirmative action ftw.

does anyone know when we can take a look at the scores online without the access code?

I think you need the code to see them.

I had to personally invade my principal’s office to get my PSAT scores today.
Even then, I had to carp her with two impatient emails.

Now I can prepare for the real thing with direction!

You definitely HAVE to have the code. I spent too long looking for a loophole to this after that first email from the college board.

@tisgur: On January 15th, you can access your scores without the code (I think).

55 CR
54 M
62 WS

…171. **** everything.

71 CR
66 M
80 W

total 217

probably should’ve studied for that math… and read the CR vocab questions more carefully than i did

240! gc’s usually give scores out in jan, but after some serious begging, i got them to distribute before break.

I got a 240. Wasn’t expecting to do as well as I did because I didn’t take it sophmore year.

I hope this bodes well for the SAT?

Just got it today. 227!

After reading about how hard the curve was, I was so nervous I wouldn’t make the Merit scholar cutoff. Sooooo relieved :D

Congrats to everyone else who did well!

75 CR
74 M
70 CW

I got 2 questions wrong in each section. The curve was a lot harsher for writing…
Hopefully 219 qualifies me as a finalist in CT!

176 highest freshman score In school.
Cr:60
Math:55
Writing:61

I didn’t do any studying and the counselor says I might end up being the schools first nmsf in my junior year.

@chinaboy
you need to get a life

^So uncalled for.

@Horsey
shut up.

If you didn’t do was well as you hope, don’t worry! I got a 174 on the PSAT, and I spent the week before the SATs taking 6 practice tests and I pulled it up to a 2100.

Okay I need opinions.

I didn’t study for the PSAT at all. Just discovered these threads, I got my score about 20 minutes ago.

I got a 179. I’m a sophomore. How good is that in the grand scheme of things? What score does that point to, for my SATs?

Sorry if all of those are stupid questions, but I’m new to this & wanted some opinions.

73 CR, 67 M, 67 W for 207 total in California.

CA’s cutoff is so high I wasn’t expecting NMSF anyways. I’m mad about the math one. It says I omitted a question in the student response section but I definitely got the right answer (I have the work and the answer written in the test booklet. I must have written the number and forgotten the bubbles. I’m pretty happy. I know that my problem with math is doing too much stuff mentally and just making errors that way, but I always finish in about half the time of the test.

tl;dr, I’m happy because I know exactly how to improve.

CR 71 (-5)
M 77 (-1)
W 71 (-2…Grrr)

I got a total of 219, which basically ensures that I get NMSF. The cutoff for Arkansas last year was like a 205. I got the second highest score out of my junior class of 750 kids >.< Bleh, oh well… I guess the SAT is what really matters…

Wow, you guys make me feel bad about my score and I thought it was really damn good. >_>

201 (No NMSF, but I’ll take commended, honestly)
74 Math
67 CR
60 Writing

Needless to say I’m studying my ass off for writing now. And CR I can never seem to get higher than a 670/680, not sure why. But I’m more than happy with 97th percentile, and my goal for the SATs was at least a 2000, so this is good!

Oh, and I’m Jersey, so our cutoff might as well be 7000. -_-
