@PhD411 Good Luck…I do not understand why some of us had to snail mail transcripts while others could use Naviance. While I am no longer waiting for a decision from PSU…and if I were I would be understanding that they did not promise a decision until 1-31….I am still shocked and frustrated by many things I have read on CC…how some things have been handled ….how different advice/answers to the same question have been given by the staff/offices at PSU. My D is waiting for 1 more decision…from her top choice school….PSU is her #2 choice….but I am not sure if it is still my #2!

I’m rooting for everyone! My D wrecked her car today because of all of this snow. She’s ok, but the car could be better and she’s pretty shook up. Hoping Penn State comes through with some good news today or otherwise this day will just the crappiest day ever for her!
Hello, has anyone’s student heard ANYTHING today? Again, we had status change last Friday (coming days). Admission’s telling us “could be any day”. I guess in this final stretch, things are really backed up…hearing 24 hr. after status change doesn’t seem to apply now…patience…

@mick80 No kidding! I think most people have been hearing the actual decision updates in the evenings. Weekends don’t count in the 1-3 days I don’t think, and mostly people have been hearing the next day. So people who got the coming days on Friday will hopefully hear today!
Rejected by University Campus, Biology Major- 1990 SAT, 3.7 UW GPA
Just got off the phone with admissions and the woman told me that if a decision hasn’t already been posted today it’s more likely to come tomorrow.
However, my status was updated in the evening on Friday so i’m left wondering how much of what they say on the phone is accurate or just what they are advised to say.
@thepariah That stinks, your stats are very competitive. This has been a tough year for applicants. With your stats I’m sure there are tons of schools that would love to have you, and probably offer you $. My D who is a Sr. at PSU this year, had almost identical stats as you 4 yrs ago, and she had U of D, U of Mass and other schools, all offering her money - except PSU…she still went to PSU…but that is another story…Penn State’s loss not accepting you.
@mvl0224 The only constant on this thread (besides frequent, impassioned and supportive posts from @jlhpsu) is that when you speak with Admissions you’ll get well-meaning but very inconsistent (and often inaccurate) feedback. We only post in the morning; we only post in the evening; we post once a day; we post twice a day. I’m sure working in admissions in the weeks before the promised final date must be pretty stressful. I guess that’s a constant too… lots of stress going around!
Havn’t heard back yet and I’m getting worried 
It doesn’t really matter to me if I get accepted to a branch campus over UP, but I would prefer UP. Applied before the priority deadline for Engineering major and really want to hear back. It’s killing me to know.
@brucemag you’ve certainly got that right. The whole process is so drawn out and stressful, I can’t stand this dramatic, Hollywood-style releasing of decisions. I just want a yes or a no, no “final stages” BS.
@Koptchak My D has heard nothing from Engineering either. Todays “wrong” information was that Engineering applications are not complete yet.

Gaahhhh, in the midst of Snowmageddon here on LI I decided to compulsively check again - D got the change to “coming days” since this am! Pic is still UP. Is this good and do you think we may know by tomorrow???
Does anyone know what the snow is going to be like in UP tomorrow? Hopefully it doesn’t deter decisions getting out.
