NJ HS w/ strong track record at Penn St. Big, diverse, well-regarded school. Think that helped a lot.
He applied Fall w/ Summer Option. Has always thought if accepted it would be for summer. I think summer would be an incredible opportunity for him.

rejected, but I’m not as upset as I thought I would be. Looks like it’ll be WVU for me, which I am super excited about because I like their campus and dorms soooo much better, and I got accepted into their nursing school. I guess its for the best because now I know that WVU is where I truly belong. and I get to stay in their suited style dorms so no community bathrooms for me :-*
I’m actually kind of jealous of those who got summer admit. I want my son to go summer session so much because I think it would be a wonderful experience…We got so much good feedback about the summer session; he was at the point that he was fine with it if it came to that, but now that he is fall, I don’t think I can convince him to do the optional summer, although I still think it would be a great experience and probably a better summer all around than the one that’s in store for him now, which will probably involve flipping burgers or cleaning restrooms.
Has anyone heard anything about the college of communications? Does anyone know how competitive it is to get in? I haven’t heard much about acceptances or the stats of people accepted. I applied so fingers crossed I get in!
BigBang: Two years ago my Son was admitted for DUS Fall. He then decided he’d rather go Summer and wanted a different major. Called to switch to Summer and alternate major. Right on the phone they checked his credentials and approved the change. They changed his status to Coming Days, then quickly (that evening?) it changed to Accpeted Summer. A new acceptance letter arrived as well. I think becuase his was already accepted for Fall, he did not have to wait in line again.
