My OOS son was offered alternate major/campus on Friday, and accepted UP DUS today. @cpbmom there is an alternate route to Smeal

@nuum83 thanks so much! I really want him to consider that option. Not sure he will…will keep everyone posted! He was also just accepted to U of Maryland, same situation…not Smith, although Smith is rated lower, I think it is more difficult to get in, especially as an undecided…unlike Penn, U of M sends an amazing congratulations and welcome which is great, but at the very bottom, you see whether you are accepted into your first choice program grrrrr. Can’t wait until this process is overrrrrr

Does anyone know if summer session students are allowed to bring their own cars? Not that I’ll need it, it’d just be nice to have it up there in case I needed to head home for a weekend or something
^^^^ Yes, but for the summer. You need to register the car once you get on campus. I do not know if there is a cost.
I can’t get over how competitive all of the applicants are this year. What a talented bunch of kids!
Ad an aside, my 16 year old son asked me today where we were going to look at colleges this summer. Not ready for that!!

Did anyone speak to someone directly in admissions? I have to agree the students who have been accepted are outstanding! There is a right school for each of our kids, I do believe.
