Purdue has delayed their commit date for admitted students to June 1 :neutral:
I hope this doesn’t mean we are hearing waitlist decisions in mid-June.
Good people who have better choices than Purdue, declining your offer will really help waitlisted students get decisions faster. Anxiety is really killing us.

Any update on Fall and Summer Start Program at Purdue? Is there going to be a Summer start online?
@1futuregrad - Purdue is supposed to announce today what they are doing with summer start. So far I haven’t heard or seen anything come through to current students/families.
The Purdue president, Mitch Daniels, announced last week that classes will be on campus for the Fall albeit with lots of changes. You can watch his videos on y-tube. The latest update was on 5/12.
Thanks @momofsenior1. Just found out they will be doing Summer Start on campus. And there is a 2 week gap between the end of Summer start and beginning of Fall classes. What are the OOS students suppose to do? I think they should have done the Summer program online.
@1futuregrad There is always a gap to get the dorms ready because summer start housing isn’t the same as Fall housing. All summer start students are housed in dorms with A/C.
So what do these students do in the gap period? Do they return home or stay at the dorm for the fall start?
Generally students return home.
Thank you@momofsenior1. We have not accepted the Purdue offer yet. My S is required to attend the Summer Start and with the current situation I don’t feel comfortable travelling and we are OOS. It would have been okay travelling just once for fall semester.
@1futuregrad call the housing office and ask if there is a way to get into the Fall dorm early. They may be willing to work with you.

Is it true that purdue released a few waitlist decisions recently? Are selections from the waitlist random?

@rohan702 I still haven’t received my decision. Are any of you aware if they released decisions on June 5th because I’ve heard they release decisions on Fridays apparently
I haven’t heard anything as of yet. However, some people were hopeful that they’ll probably come around next week!
