Purdue Vs Southampton for aerospace Engineering

I am really in a messed up situation

I made it both to Purdue and Southampton for a degree in aeronautical and aerospace engineering. But the thing thats bothering me is that Purdue had waitlisted me and latter denied me for the Fall 2010 session and guranteed for the spring 2011 session. And Southampton university has already given me an unconditional offer. Purdue replied that they would be sending the decision letters by early september but didnt mention that they would surely be sending one or denying my application again.

So is it meaningful to wait for the Purdue decision letter till september or join the southampton university in september?

Please help!!

Umm…let me TRY to help you out!

Purdue has guaranteed you an admission for Spring 2011 so they would send you the acceptance letter and scholarship amount and other relevant data in September (They won’t be denying your application again…hence the term GUARANTEED admission!)

Southampton I take it has accepted you for Fall 2010!

Personally I’d rather go to Purdue, as they have a stronger aerospace program than Southampton but if you want to go to Purdue then you would have to wait till December (Spring term starts in January!)

So if you are OK with waiting till January and Southampton has not offered a mouth-watering scholarship amount THEN choose Purdue or go to Southampton and enjoy your time there!

Hope I helped!

Purdue is probably in the top 5 aerospace programs in the world.
