Pursuing a Foreign Language in High School?

Hello! I am from New Delhi, India and I am currently studying in Class 10.
A little context before my question: I have been learning French in school since Class 6. However, after Class 10 all languages except English are discontinued in the school curriculum. There is no option for studying it in the school as an extra class.
Moreover, the Indian school calendar begins in April and we have our mid terms in September.

My questions are:
Q1. Would it help my application if I gave the SAT Subject Test in French or took some other Language Proficiency Certification Exam like the ones offered at Alliance Francaise? If yes, which one would be more beneficial: the Subject Test or the Certification Exam?
Q2. If I do schoose to give these exams, can I give them in Grade 11 (a year before my college applications are submitted) or in Grade 12 (in the summer immediately before my applications?
Q3. Are there any prestigious programs in whose applications I can have an advantage if I show proficiency in a language other than my native language?

P.S. If I will give the exam in Grade 12, I will have to study French alongside my regular school curriculum throughout most of my Grade 11 and 2. However, if I give it in Grade 11 (June for the Subject Test), the knowledge will be fresh in my mind and I will be able to do well. Please recommend accordingly.

Take the French subject test in June. It’s the fastest way for you to prove achievement provided you can score 700+. If you don’t, you can then prepare for and take a B1 CEF Alliances Française certification.
You need to demonstrate a minimum of A2 level, B1 for top schools (650+, 730/40+ respectively). Thanks St subject test is roughly xueebto A1-A2, with a handful of questions at B1 level.
