oops, i meant 5pm…my fault

aw man, why so drawn out!!!

omg, I just found out about QB one hour ago. I’m an international applicant though. Can internationals apply for QB, and what are the stats?

Can I still hop in QB Regular Admissions now even though I didn’t submit anything whatsoever to QB before Sep 30?

Just for curiosity’s sake, Yale, Stanf and Princeton say they want their own application forms (Common App ,etc) instead of QB apps for the Regular round. What does that mean? I thought QB apps are automatically forwarded to those colleges for the Regular round anyway if the student chooses so.

I got the Finalist notification 2:00 pacific time

I rechecked the email that QuestBridge sent regarding my Finalist status… and they sent it at 12:56 PM.

They might send the notice regarding the College Match status earlier than 5PM as well.

:)

Well I’m not sure the finalist status email serves as precedent for the match notification because QB actually provides a set time they will notify us: “If you are selected as a finalist, you will be notified of the results of the College Match by November 30, 2007 at 5:00pm PST.”

screwitlah, if you are a senior, it is way too late to even consider QuestBridge. Even if you are a junior, there are limitations. Some colleges will not consider intl students. Good luck.

edit: nvm I just read it and it says BY that November 30 at 5:00. I’m having my fingers crossed that it’s earlier. For me, Friday’s a faculty-exclusive/non-student day so I have the whole day off to prep for the coming SAT’s and to wait in anticipation for the notification. How wonderful.

hmm okay. knguyen, that means there’s no way to get into the Regular Admissions pool for QB now? dang, I heard that applying with QB forms increases ur chances for Regular. Is that true?

What I see from the website is that Y and P will participate in CollegeMatch for intl students, but for the Regular round all colleges will consider intl students. so will I be missing out on better chances since I won’t be applying with QB forms?

QB forms help…but it’s not like it completely improves your chances.

Last year due to complications or something there were a few people who already knew they were matched by this time, last year. I got a phone call at around 2/3 pm (I live in CA) that told me about the finalist status, and my friend had already received an email by that time saying she wasn’t matched. The time that they give, I think is just a “no later than this time,” will you have found out type of thing. I had already received the email by the time they called, but because I wasn’t near a computer, I didn’t know.

GOOD LUCK GUYS!!! I’m crossing my fingers for all of you!

I wish they would tell us today!

Aww… I feel so stupid that I almost want to cry.
I just found on my Yale account that one of my teacher recommendations is missing. I have checked my email every day but not Yale account. Bumh… Can anyone offer me consoler? T_T

OMG that actually freaks me out. Basically we’ll get our answers anytime from now until Friday at 5pm…I am soooooooooooooooooooooo on edge right now!

within the next 48 hours we will all know what went on!!!

Good luck y’all!

jurikorea, I would just assume its a computer error? Wouldn’t Yale have your recs directly from QB ?

Wait, are you saying that the matches have been made and that we’ll get know in the next two days. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! I’m so freaking out but I want to know, then I don’t want to know if its not good.

jaw 117,
that’s what i thought!!! boy, but still, it seems like i’m responsible for the missing rec letter. i really hope it’s a computer error but what if they really don’t have one? and why me???

Jurikorea, Don’t worry, I believe it’s computer error, or Yale messes up some materials! because whnen u apply QB finalist, they didn’t say u miss one rec right, then they should have both and forward to Yale~Cheers up!

jurikorea, it has to be a computer error or something they forgot to process. If your materials were truly missing, they would contact you - the person at Yale when I called sounded rather harried and wanted us to trust that they would contact us if materials were missing, even if your status said otherwise. They were processing Questbridge materials up until at least the 20th.

Wow. Good luck to everyone. When Doomsday arrives, I hope no one goes crazy. Anyway, I still haven’t gotten any email from the college i applied to about the status of my application, so I don’t even know if they have my app, which worries me SO MUCH. But I’m hoping they have it, and that they just haven’t gotten around to emailing me. Once again, good luck to everyone and in less than 48 hours, it’ll all be over.
