Questbridge Scholarship - 2008

Waiting on Cal, Stanford, Brown, and Yale - all my reach schools, haha.

Qbridge finalist waiting on- HYPS Columbia, and UCB , and Upenn

QB finalist. Son waiting on all but one QB schools: Stanford, Y, P, Columbia, Amherst, Notre Dame. He’s already been accepted to Rice (thru QB!!) and UCLA. (Loves UCLA!) In addition, still waiting on Berkeley and Cornell. Stanford, Princeton are his #1 choices but would be thrilled with UCLA. Crossing our fingers for QB financial aid!!:)

DS got in at Rice! Along with the Swatties, got in at OSU, Denison, Vandy & Middlebury. Waitlisted at Wash U.

Still awaiting some of the usual suspects, Amherst, Williams, Yale, Princeton, Bates, Stanford, UVa and Emory.

So far, so good. We’ll know what the real deal is in just a few days.

Williams came thru today!!! Still tempering enthusiasm until the FA shoe drops, lol!

Congrats madville! Let us know how it turns out.

Just received Rice financial package. QB came thru! Pretty much a full ride + travel expense. Wow!

Congratulations to the QB admittees.

did pretty much everyone that were finalist received good Fin. Aid packages from the schools they applied RD thru Questbridge?

^ most of us do not know yet. All the decisions/Fin. Aid packages won’t be complete until probably mid April.

/Congrats on everything everybody…I just thought I’d tell everyone here that I was rejected at Stanford…I really wanted to go there, but hey, sucks for them!

I did get into Chicago though, for which I’m really excited for. i’m still waiting on an Ivy, but it seems like I’m heading to Chicago. Thank you all for your support! You’ve all really helped me get through all this college stuff :D

DS has been accepted thus far to Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, and Rice. The top three LAC’s and a great university via QB. Rejected from Stanford, and waiting on Emory, Princeton and Yale. Still awaiting details of FA packages. If you were to ask me, for those who would qualify for QB consideration, it’s definitely worth it. It certainly can’t hurt. Not to mention the significant dollars saved on app fees, visits and upon acceptance, various deposits that are waived. An outstanding program.

Rejected from Stanford (yay QB for not making me pay the app fee ^_^) and accepted to Cal.

Thanks, madville, for the summary of the benefits of QuestBridge.

Please definitely check out QB. It’s such a great program and presents so many opportunities. My college application process pretty much lasted my whole senior year, starting in September, because of QB, but it does give you an edge over other applicants. I just received an acceptance letter from Stanford and I’m waiting for some more schools on Monday. There’s no doubt in my mind QB tipped the scale in my favor :)

I didn’t even know Stanford decisions were coming out today.

Wow, I got in.

I’m so grateful to QB.

I got into…they should’ve told me this in Novemeber lol jp so GRATEFUL!!!

oh wow Mr. Tibbz and Jaw117, Congrats. I got rejected from stanford. But anyways I’m happy for you. Congrats again.

really??? I am the exact opp

I got into all of my non-QB schools (Harvard haha we will see next monday)
and I got either rejected or waitlisted from the QB schools that released decisions so far. But then again I got into like Caltech and UCs…so I think QB worked against me. Some of the QB prviates are clearly my safeties (i.e vassar) but I still got waitlisted. And to be honest, I am not being cocky, with my stats, there is no way I should be just waitlisted…w/e we will se about monday

congrats to all the stanford kids though!! stanford is AMAZING  GO!! haha

google2008: Yes, your stats are amazing. It’s not over yet. I have high hopes for you on Monday. Good Luck!
