Question about ethnicity and eligibilty!!

I have a friend who is indigenous, but of another country (we’re in Ecuador). Would she still qualify for scholarships aimed toward Natives? If not, is there any other sort of scholarships or aid that she’d be particularly eligible for due to her ethnicity? We tried looking online, but most of our results focused on Native Americans…

Your friend is an international student. The scholarships for Native Americans are for people who belong to one of the native groups in the US.

There are very few scholarships for international students. Your friend should read through everything at https://www.educationusa.info/</a> and she should visit the advising center that is closest to where she lives. There are several in Ecuador: https://www.educationusa.info/Ecuador</a> The counselors there can help her find out more about her options.

She also could read through some of the threads in [International Students - College Confidential](International Students - College Confidential Forums)
