Question about finanical aid letter and housing

I understand that if I don’t want to accept the loans, I don’t have to call them at all. I was wondering if the “SUSTA UNDERGRADUATE” is a grant? And if I want the work study program, what do I do?

I would also like to know the difference between double, double with singles, double with doubles, and large double with large double. Also, what is the difference between community bath and adjoining bath.

And how much does it cost to dorm there per day in a non break hall while there is a break.
I also want to know if it’s too late to choose roommates. Both my friend and I have recently submitted our deposit.

Thanks.

SUSTA is an additional grant given to NY residents. You can call BIRD to accept/decline loans and work study. It would be good to let them know if you’re not planning to take programs with limited funding like WS, Perkins loan, etc. so they know if they have funds to redistribute to those that didn’t get them. BIRD is 716-645-7800 and I think you use your SSN and the month/year of your birth as password first time.

You can go to the ResLife section of their website and see pictures of different rooms. Community bath is shared by a number of people/rooms in the hallway and is larger. Adjoining bath is shared only by 2 rooms and you have to clean it yourself since it is accessible only by going through one of the rooms.

I don’t think it’s too late to request your roommate, but you both must request. You can call the residential dept at (866) 285-8806 about costs for break housing and make sure you put it on your housing preferences as I believe it’s only available in certain dorms.

thanks, but does anyone know the what a
double with single is
double with double
single with double is?
These are really confusing.
