<p>So I am currently a California resident in CC, applying as a second year for next fall. If I do not get an acceptance for this next year coming up, would I be able to move to VA, start going to a VACC, get onto the transfer agreement, and be guaranteed a spot for the 2014 year as a 3rd year? </p>
<p>I really don’t have other schools I could see myself happy at, I love the UVA traditions and community life, I love the area (so sick and tired of California, want to go back to the south, but not the deep south) and what it offers to my kids they can not grow up with here, I love the Universities dedication to higher education, I love the history of the school (I have always been a very Jeffersonian person in terms of politics and social views, and as a professional, I admire no man more than him) and what the school stands for, and (for the cherry on top) my brother-in-law moved to Richmond about 4 years ago, and my wife is very excited to be close enough to him that he gets to have a relationship with his niece and nephew. Getting my wife to leave her hometown with her very large family (including her sisters, their kids, both parents and grandparents) living within an hour from where we stay now has been a challenge, but with her brother living close to where I’ve decided I want to attend school, she’s totally on board, but I fear if I were to go to somewhere in New England, the deeper South, or anywhere in the mid west, she would be utterly depressed and it would not be a positive environment for me to do my learning in. </p>
<p>TLDR: I have limited myself to UVA, William and Mary, or (worst case scenario) UNC-CH, and am searching for any option to help me into UVA first and formost, W&M second, and UNC-CH is basically on par with some of the UC schools I’m considering, the only bonus is personal in that I get to leave California, but it’s still remotely close enough to my brother to keep my wife happy (enough) while I’m up to my neck in politics. </p>
<p>Could I work my way into a VACC-> UVA transfer agreement If i move to VA and attend school for 1-2 semesters?</p>
